Yeah dude, its crazy over here in Nepal too from what I know. Showrooms are always out of r15 v2.0 with booking period of more than 2 months in couple cases. Sunset Red is pretty famous and people are willing to wait to the extreme. The bike is indeed different and really classy.

    Now about vibrations:
I just finished covering about 260KMs on the ODO mainly in the city roads and had couple chances to take small freeways/highway roads. I do not get a significant feeling of vibrations, yes you do feel a little bit of it, but its gets better and smoother with higher gears and REVS (keep in mind my REVS are all under 5000 RPMS).

Reading the thread, a lot of owners have suggested oil filter + oil change at around 250 Kms on the ODO, is this true? because the manual suggests 1000 KMs otherwise I'll have to do the same.

Well, I have done my run in very properly. As I said, I haven't went past the 5K rpm mark. Hence, I do not know why I am facing the problem.

Hey Suraj.. You brought-up a very valid point, My bike doesn't have any vibrations in body except the handle bar feels like grinder & palms are numb-or-electricuted after stepping down from bike on a long ride with average speed of 90kms/hr... the gradual pick-ups are pretty smooth but sudden rev's gives a feeling as engine is taking load..

I have done Two services until now and haven't specifically asked them to change the Air/Oil-filter, may be they are cleaning it at every service and I know for sure Oil has been changed.. I have no complaints on engine, its pretty healthy. Does changing Air/Oil-filter help reduce Vibrations??

Also would be great if you elaborate on "Should clean the front sprocket and see" ... Did this help reducing the vibration in handlebar?

            Thanks..

Guess this one is used for V1 (as well as V2).. Do we have more design of Tank Protector.. And Do we have more colors instead of just Black..

I know Tank Protector is definitely important accessory....!!!

Small piece of advise to All who wear 'Steel Belt Wrist Watches".. please avoid wearing while riding this babe.. If you are turn the handle of this bike to max, the wrist watch touches the body of the tank and it may cause scratches which is quite visible

Also please avoid full-face helmet wearing it in hand/elbow while riding shorter distance/to escape heat within helmet during summer, this indeed touches tank & cause mild scratches as well...

AND any suggestions on other important accessories.. ??????????????? which help to protect this babe.. ??

              • Guys do we have any R15 V1/V2.0 or Ninja team who go on weekend rides In-n-Around Bangalore..????

I am mostly used to go on long rides alone, especially to complete my run-in period...and very soon I am about to hit 2k on ODO..can use full throttle then.. I have often seen Team Harley/Ninja on connecting N-Highways from Bangalore (sometimes a mix of CBR's/Yamaha/Pulsars)

Will be glad to be join exclusive riding teams... Cheers!

Have bought these today. Will get the delivery of my black beauty within this week. All payment has been made. Need some tips about the run in & things to check during delivery of the bike. Damn excited.
Good pic's.. Even I am looking to buy-out a helmet, which would match my Red/White V2 babe.. I am willing to spend about Rs.5-7k if the helmet is really good/worth.. I had initially shortlisted LS2/Cross/Others, they are really good but when I did some more research on higher end helmets..I came across brands like AGV, HJC, Daijya, Scorpion, Bell, etc which are quite expensive... ARAI & SHOEI (damn expensive).. which are available locally but limited designs..

I really liked the features in Daijya with a price tag of Rs.4750/-, they claim their parent brand as Shoei (not quite sure) but in one the forums I read the parent company has confirmed that its not their brand and the helmet is getting manufactured locally..

Daijya was ruled out, With a budget of Rs.5k I came across 'SOL' Helmets which are available..Parent company being G-Max (USA), the Reviews/features are quite impressive and most importantly its "DOT" certified helmets.. these helmet has good choice of designs with some of the latest features like LED flash lights at the back side.. I am not quite sure to go for it as the shell-size of the helmet is quite Big, only padding is changed if asked for Small/Medium/Large and also if the helmet is not available at store you need to pay advance to procure/there is some waiting time to get your design listed on website..

Quite confused when it comes to helmets..

However the good news iszz. I bought exclusive R15 leather gloves (Black-n-Grey).. I am just collating my riding-gears to prepare for long rides..

As of now managing with temporary Elbow & Knee protectors (Thai made)...Riding Jackets are quite expensive, on least side you need to shell atleast Rs.4-6k to get Cramster jackets

Wish me the best to get good deals

The owners manual says 1000km for oil+filter change.
