Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

How do you keep your bike so clean...I mean I used to clean up every day, but now in rainy season it gets so dirty evertytime I go out. That's why I've stopped that and now cleaning on weekends only.
But only 10 mins of ride makes it a helluva dirty
I polish it on every sat along with washing it with Motomax shampoo... Just wipe everytime before i use the bike.

Bro how was the servicing at Monarch Yamaha yesterday??? Did you watch you bike getting serviced? I mean I'm planning to watch mine get serviced but dont know if its okay with the SVC.
Yes, gave it there yesterday. Iam compiling a report below.

          @All
          2nd free service -
          1)Total kms - 2931

          2)Charges - Rs 530 (Rs 470 for oil + Rs 60 for consumables 4 fairing screws)

          3)Problems faced, Problems rectified
a)Front handle bar vibration - Fixed
          b)Front fairing vibration - Fixed
          c)Lower gear lever - Fixed
d)Rear mudguard replacement - Pending (part not available in stock)
          e)Lower right headlight - Fixed

4)I wasn't charged for any sort of tax on oil.

5)Review about Monarch Auto - Tilak Rd

a)Iam in love with the service out there, they do not mind if you wait there and see it getting completed, the customer lounge is perfect, happens in front of you unlike YFS which is in one corner.

b)The service was quite quick, got the bike back by 12.30pm

c)I had my friend's Ninja for sometime so I left for my bank work once they finished the oil change, so the main job was done.

d)No he dint change the oil filter as it was due next service.

e)I felt the bike very smooth after the servicing, i think they cleaned the air filter this time. It was super smooth, this is my 4th bike so i precisely know how does it feel the filter has been cleaned.

f)The charges for chain clean and lube are Rs 60+60+no tax = Rs 120 against YFS Rs 100+100+Tax - odd Rs 235

g)Their inventory is bit poor, but yes you can get any part in a day's time for sure.

h)Got the bike polished including dashboard and tires free or you can say in servicing itself, YFS said Rs100 for that the last time

          i) No queue at all even on weekends, Next building Trust Vishwas has his office so you can always meet him for morning coffee.

          j) They have radio working on the main working floor where bikes are serviced, so i believe it to be chilled out working atmosphere for engineers out there.

Thats all from my side, the bike is actually smooth and can feel the difference too. Got everything done quickly and it was a transparent procedure though i was busy riding the Ninja, i mean i could feel the bike with a difference.

@Pune Yammie owners, i would definately consider this to be better service than YFS, atleast it felt like that yesterday. Next service on 6000kms.

I also happen to stumble upon Nesan who is from ROLON Chains, got his number, if you have any requirements in regards to chain sprocket kit, he is the guy. He can also schedule parts if you are out of pune and in other city or state.

Thanks a lot for your service review @ MONARCH YAMAHA
will definitely service my V2 @ Monarch....YFS seems very expensive as compared.
Every time I service my bike there, have to shell out atleast 1000Rs.

              • Need advice on gloves!

Hi guys. 710 kms on the ODO now and first servicing was completed at 450.

I'm planning to buy riding gloves. I came across Cramster which seems to be the best Indian brand. I've narrowed it down to Blaster and Flux.

My riding: Mostly city+highway and rarely touring.

So which would suit me better? Blaster or Flux? Please note that I live in Chennai which is a very HOT place.

                      • Riding in the Rain

                        Hi folks,

Today in the morning the weather was cool and cloudy. I was ready to go on for a ride on my R15 and within few minutes it started to drizzle. It was such a wonderful experience for me to drive my machine on mid revs on clear roads and i really enjoyed ever bit of it. And when i was on my way to home i realized that i surely need a basic gear for riding and touring. I tried to find some good jackets and gloves, however, all of them were too expensive for me.
If my budget is 5K, can you guys suggest me a site where i can get a bike jacket for my daily commuting. Something that is made for R15.

You can simply close your eyes and use an Amaron/Amco 5A coz I have tested both. Battery charging issues will be found only when using a 7-9A battery, so thats when you re-wind and change the wiring harness.

Did you do anything to the air-filter box?
