I'm not a poser cum street racer that i intend to race with every cbr i see on the road.
Its just that i have graduated to R15 from a P220 and hence finding the R15 performance average.

Sorry guys if I'm sounding too stubborn. I know, you guys are helping me out.
Okay, consider the mod you do is much better than CBR for instance, now what? where do you plan to use that power?

I think track is the only place where it can be tamed.

    Now tell me going for
    Leo Vince - Rs13,000
    Race ECU - Rs10-15,000
    A 10 to 20cc Bigger displacement - Rs 10-20,000
    Throttle control - Rs3500
    Disk Brakes - Rs 5-10,000
    Chain Sprocket Kit - Rs5-8,000

Totaling to Rs 45-55,000 is actually worth the mod? Please tell me you got something better in reply.

Also you would be voiding off the warranty after the mod, also the bike life would be drastically reduced since these are track settings and are required for one race season only, the chances of the engine being useless are more.

You have list of happy Joel customers, i got more numbers of having bad mod jobs here, that doesnt mean that Joel is bad or his idea is bad.

All I'm trying to say is that go for Joel mod if you plan to use the bike in pure racing events held on track, it is actually not useful neither cheap for street riding.

I have provided the amounts mentioned, Dream Sporting Gear, Pune & PRS, Mumbai will have the parts mentioned above, they have their respected websites you can check it up and give them a call. Go for cosworth or K&N filter which is easily available to the above mentioned websites. About the ECU and Porting that can be done through Joel or Daytona (SVC).

All the best dude. And no you are not stubborn neither rude.

Thanks alot for so much help.
And yes,the mods don't seem to be worth it.

Now i think i should stick to cosmetic mods only...

Even if i get the above mentioned parts, I would not find a good mechanic to even install them in my city. I also don't think that i should go for some heavy mods now. A good stock replacement airfilter and a free flow exhaust will be enough to suffice me for now keeping in mind that i will upgrade to a Ninja after 2 years.

Please advice me a good air filter, simota or cosworth induction kit( as available on planetdsg) . Since cosworth is a conical air filter, won't it cause problems making the AFR lean???

Anybody using 2 hids for high beam???
Where can i source projectors from???

Apologies for the long list of queries.

No worries for the long list but ensure you ask here before investing in unwanted stuff.

Shrinath Rao a member here is using the Cosworth filter and finding it good too. Simota i have only heard about it, do not know how it performs, avoid K&N as much as possible.

Projectors Bangalore guys can help you out.

I think a filter and exhaust will void warranty (Please Recheck) Thats all from my side.

Spot on! It peels off at the same place for most of the White LE bikes. It is not because of pebbles or stones buddy! Then why does the other versions void of this problem?
And for this we paid extra 6K ?

                • Today I gave my R15 for 1st service at Pacer motors. It is 1060 on ODO.

                  I have 2 doubts now

                  1. When I enquired about which oil which they use, They said it will be semi-synthetic from Yamalube. Is it the one recommented by Yamaha?

                  2. Should I do Teflon coating on my bike now?
Is it used to prevent minor scratches or cover minor scratches which are already there?

Cosworth is a conical filter and installing it will not void your warranty, but if possible install it after you have done atleast 5k kms on your odo, and remember the ecu and AFR takes time to set with the new filtr so have some patience, like in my case it took around 1000 kms for adjusting, though at rpm below 3000 you may feel there is a small misfire kinda sound but its normal, in v2 i believe ECU is remappable and modifiebale so i think it may not be that long.

If you want to buy it, better buy the full kit and install it, but make sure you clean the filter every 5000 kms. Cleaning is simple just soak in soap water than wash with clen water and allow it to dry for night, morning fit it and you are ready to go.

The R15 stock reflectors are weak, so better use it with projectors as in long run it can give bad effects on the inner reflector.

Put a white vinyl on all those areas, simple solution as paint peeling off is common in all colors.

Hey bro are you experiencing any battery issues. Is it running on stock setup? from where did you buy those? Will it void warranty?
Sorry for so many questions but i want to change the stock lights. At times it seems as if I have not switched on those even when they are ON high beam Help

Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

With this kit R15 becomes more aggresive and responsive in speed/accelerationa and braking.

everything has it's own limitation so R15 too has it.

Totaling to Rs 45-55,000 is actually worth the mod? Please tell me you got something better in reply.
lol...Awesome calcualtion!! right to make the things understand on mods...

                              True!!
Racing team has their own dedicated team to repair any issues in race and those engines are not used again in next race AFAIK...

This sounds nice now!! We just wanted you to keep bike more trouble free that's tit dude!!

Sorry for so many questions but i want to change the stock lights. At times it seems as if I have not switched on those even when they are ON high beam Help
Till now havent faced any battery issues. Running on stock 3.5AH battery.
It will not void your bike's warranty unless you cut any of the wires in the wiring harness.

I know the pathetic light produced by stock setup.
