Has anyone used Claw/Claw mini on the bike?
Does it scratch the panels next to the rear seat as the seat doesn\'t go around the top, and the bag would be rubbing/resting on the panels?

    • Front brake problem.

Well, done with the 16th service.
45,000 odd kilometers on odo now!
Oil and filter replaced, Coneset replaced, Speedometer sensor acted weird, so changed that too..
Got myself Motul 300v this time.
Been to a coffee shop which is 70 kms (2 ways) from my town and boy-oh-boy, the engine is butter smooth!
Been having a problem with the front brake since last service. It wasn\'t as accurate and sharp as before. Told SVC people and they insisted on bleeding the brakes.
I told them that I\'ll be waiting at the customers bay and told them to call me when they\'re bleeding the brakes as i don\'t know about the process.
I waited for quite a while and none showed up.
Then i went inside the service bay only to see my bike absent there.
When i asked the other mechanic about it, he told me that it had gone for a trial ride :/
The mechanic who had taken the bike for trial brought it back and told me to trial ride it.
I went for a spin only to find my front brake was worse than before.
I returned and asked him whether he bled the brakes or not.
To which, his reply was - I rubbed it with Sandpaper :O I don\'t exactly know where/what he rubbed :/
      I was like Screw you!
Now the front brake is worse the before
I don\'t want to do it myself.
Can someone enlighten me or lead me from here?
Someone here posted to tie the brakes to the handle, like 2 pages back.
      Will that work fine?
      Need your inputs
      Cheers & Ride safe y\'all!

With your bike clocking 45,000 kms, it is high time that complete braking system is overhauled. It is recommended that the brakes are completely over hauled every 2 years or so. Just bleeding the brakes may not be good enough to solve your problem. The complete brake system needs to be pulled apart and cleaned. After it has been throughly cleaned and any parts that are showing wear replaced, the brakes must be reassembled and fresh break oil from a sealed container should be use.

The above work is not complicated, but is time consuming and requires diligence. Thats the reason your so called \'mechanic\' was reluctant to even touch the brakes. For your reference here is a link for what was done for the brakes on my N300: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/general-biking-discussion/28936-making-kawasaki-ninja-300-san-3.html#post1062808

He basically rubbed the brake pad faces with sandpaper a bit so more area is exposed and in contact with disc and better feel as the say. Personally for me it never made a difference.

I don\\\\\\\'t want to do it myself.
Yeah well, that is a problem. Mechs hate this job. I just did 2 weeks back.

Can someone enlighten me or lead me from here?
you need brake overhaul. I mean all components, master cylinder and piston and slave pistons in calliper. Clean them thoroughly and then fill up oil and bleed it.

Someone here posted to tie the brakes to the handle, like 2 pages back.
          ^^^^That would be me.
For now as you don\'t want to work. I say tie it down over night, really tight. If its just a small quantity of air trouble, it will be gone. But if there is large amounts of air in there then this won\'t help. I say try it, costs nothing afterall.

and chill out man. If you can\'t do it, search for good mechanic. It is time consuming depending on how you do and mess up.

I am planning to upgrade the headlights to projector setup. Currently I have a 4300k HID kit which I had used for a month and then moved back to 55/60W halogens (didn\'t want to attract the cops much).
Thinking of getting this: http://www.ebay.in/itm/MXS-Yamaha-R15-Headlights-Bi-Xenon-projector-HID-Day-running-light-Fog-Lamps-/121546223342?pt=IN_Bike_Accessories_Parts&hash=ite m1c4cb82eee

However not sure how good this will be.
I stay in Bangalore and I am not quite well acquainted with the city. Hence want to know if I can get this done somewhere i.e install projector with HID.

Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

Guys, need some advice. I currently own a Fazer. ODO is 18000 kms. Cared like a baby and modified with LED tail lamp and projector headlamps, 9Amp battery, chain, coneset, handlebar replaced. It is in top condition. Itching for a BHP increase since a long time and my need is a fully faired bike. Will it be wise to sell this and buy a v2? Neither do I have so much cash for buying the RC390 nor do I want to take any loan for the new bike. Is it worth upgrading?

An increase of 4 bhp is not much, I think. The only difference you\'ll feel in a R15v2 is you can easily cruise at 100+ speeds without stressing the engine and a bit more acceleration tahn your current ride. It is noticeable, but not by much.
If you can stretch your budget a bit RC200 should keep you happy in terms of upgrade in power and fully faired bike.
Else take a long test ride of R15v2 and see if the power upgrade is enough for you, if yes go for it.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

I have a p220 and an R15. I have more fun on the R15. You will never regret buying it. . Hope it helps.

Hey guys,Its been a while hope everyone is doing ok..

Completed 6th service a while back, bike's butter smooth now, Loving it!
Just "one thing" is spoiling all the fun i.e whenever i upshift/downshift i hear "khaat" noise not a normal shifting sound but it sounds like a guy is banging a hammer! Guy riding next to you even can hear it, told svc guys about it but they had no clue. Sigh.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
