Do take second opinion at a different authorized service center. Dont mention to them that so and so service center advised to check or change crank bearing. Just ask them to check if clutch bell noise is excessive or any other noise and that will give you a clearer idea.

    P.S: Has the warranty expired

    Ya bro
Me too don't want to open it up. The service technician is telling that the repetitive clutch bell issue is only due to crankshaft bearing worn out so it is very important to change it.
Also I extended warranty agreement for my vehicle. Just now the service people were telling me that I've skipped my 5th free service so warranty can't be claimed. I was like WTF I've skipped it. I always give my ride for service ahead of schedule. But some idiot in service centre has entered it wrong in system 5th free service as paid service .

These are easily noticeable on the back of headlight assembly. Turn these clockwise and anticlockwise to set the throw down or up. Best do it at night on street with no lighting, and adjust both high and low beam accordingly.
      Thank you very much, brother..

      • Yamaha R15 v2 front tyre !!need some advice!!!

My front tyre is bald and needs change. I have enquired almost all the MRF dealers in Bangalore for MRF Zapper FY1 90/80 R17 but none have stock and they say supply is stopped.

They are asking me to use 100/80 R17 or 90/90R17 or 80/100R17. Can someone help in finding the stock tyre if not an alternative, please???

          • R15 v2 front stock tyre

            Hi All,

My Yamaha R15 v2 front tyre needs a change. I have enquired all the MRF dealers in Bangalore for MRF Zapper FY1 90/80/R17 but everyone says it is out of stock. Also there is no supply for this tyre. Yamaha service center also say they dont have stock.

I raised a compliant with MRF but there is no reply yet. I'm not sure what should I do next?

Try Dhanush tyres in BTM if you stay near by.. The shop is near BTM water tank..
It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

They don't have stock. I tried calling everyone in MRF dealers list. They are asking me to change to 100/80 or 90/90. Not sure whether it is advisable.

Hey guys my front disc pads worn out at 8k kms, rear ones at 5.5k. Is it normal? I travel on the highway a lot and brake from triple digit speeds. Is that the reason?

that's a bit too early for pads to be wearing out even with frequent hard braking...hard to pinpoint a particularly dominant reason for that but yes frequent hard braking from high speeds can be a major reason...most of my rides also involve braking from 3 digit speeds but my bike's front pad lasted over 12500 kms and the rear one is still as good as new (because i dont use it much) with the bike currently at over 13500 kms.

Hmm even I'm surprised at the quick wear of the brake pads. The brake pads in my old bike lasted for 20k kms

                          Hey Guys need your inputs,

Yesterday i was about to cross the road while a guy on a splendor directly bumped into me as he was not looking ahead because he was talking to his friend who was sitting behind him, Luckily i didn't fall. but my bike took the hit, no cosmetic damage but as i was holding onto the handlebars they were bent, i went to the svc straight away they said that t-bar is bent that they will have to open it and adjust it.

So today i received the bike, and guess what all they did was change the left handlebar(just one) and said that right one is alright, but now i feel like one is higher while other is lower, though not much of a worry. When i take both my hands of handlebars the bike tends to go towards right(not a lot) but yes it does.. don't know if its the terrain..

I want to know is that how will i know if the forks are bent? and is that cheap fix from svc good enough as i don't want my bike to deal with more damage because i didn't fixed it in the first place.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated!
                          Thanks!

Lol.. seriously. am I the only one?? anyway.. the thing is that I changed the stock tyres after I hit 24k. So I am experiencing significant amount of grip. May be I need to learn more.. that said my cornering stability has increased..and the response to acceleration is also way better.. there are a lot of things I have experienced since I changed the tyres.. so I felt it was a lot better..

Has anyone used a 65w setup for the headlights? Any damage to the reflectors? Touring during night and early morning with the stock headlights is horrifying. Any solutions?

I would suggest you to make both headlights work in lowbeam which is a very easy solution or else get hid in lowbeam.i had two 55w setup which was good but not much difference was noticed from stock.
