Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Do you ride R15 V 2.0.? I seriously doubt that the front grip on wet road is bad on the michelins..Cause I have installed 90/90 its bloody good.. I have said that many times on this blog.. its the stock MRF thats bad.. there is nothing wrong with them.. but the michelins are way better dude..Originally posted by christo View Post23k kms report.
I've reported a while back that the bike wobbles past 70. The 21k run front tyre was the culprit. Replaced the tyre and the wobbling disappeared.
Since stock tyre wasnt available anywhere, I put the Michelin pilot sporty. I guess its 90/80 and costed 1.7k
This tyre sucks when it comes to wet conditions. Front end feels slow, lost the feel etc. Stock tyre is the best option.
The RR unit found to be faulty as the bike used to turn off randomly(just engine) and had a 'missing feel' when I revv it. Also the check engine light showed code no.46 which suggests a electrical malfunction.
I had to replace the battery too, since the damaged rr unit overcharged* the battery and damaged it.
RR unit -900
Battery - 1000.
Changed the CO value to 9 from zero and there's definitely a difference in low and mid range power.

Michelin pilot sporty is not better than the stock tyre in any way. Michelin pilot street is a different story though.Originally posted by vishwas.R15 View Post. its the stock MRF thats bad.. there is nothing wrong with them.. but the michelins are way better dude..

I tried hard to lift the petrol tank after removing the two bolts but something is not allowing me to remove the tank.
I was successful in removing both the side fairings and check the coolant level.
Bike has completed 20000 Kms in last 2 Years & 8 months. Running of the bike has become limited to 10Kms per week.
What is the expected price it can be sold.
It is a 2012 special edition red/white color.
I have a Third party insurance in place (because of very less usage) & a new Eurogrip Rear tire.

Its the thailand spec that was amazing. the tire is now manufactured in India which is really bad. 90/90? Doesn't that make the front heavy?Originally posted by vishwas.R15 View PostDo you ride R15 V 2.0.? In general, I think the stock one is the best option .Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

You need to remove 4 bolts in order to lift the tank. Two of them are near the cone-set and the rest is only accessible by removing the rider seat.Originally posted by BlackPanther View PostI tried hard to lift the petrol tank after removing the two bolts but something is not allowing me to remove the tank.
CAUTION: there are delicate wires connected to the tank, be careful while lifting it up.
I guess almost all yamaha SVCs have a Fi station by now. Its a simple 5 min job.Originally posted by vjxm View PostHow u change the CO value 0 to 9 . Is there any tools or equipment at ASC yamaha.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Guys, my rear tyre keeps losing air pressure, according to the air pump meter. Every week when I get the air pressure checked the rear one has 12 - 15 PSI. It used to be 30 - 32 PSI before... But the problem is the tyre is rock hard, does not squash at all when I sit on the bike, neither can I squeeze it with my hands. Can the meter at the pump be faulty?? If there is a puncture, how can I find it out myself?? I have checked the tyre surface and didn't find anything on the surface. I dont trust puncture repair shops and would avoid going till I'm certain that the tyre has a hole in it. Please let me know if I can find out for sure that the tyre is punctured.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Check for minor punctures or try changing the air nozzle valve . Me too had same problem but it is not puncture in my case, culprit was air nozzle valve ..Its always better to sweat than to bleed. Wear helmet.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Guys, Have you had a look at the r15s?
Does it have the same chassis as the original r15v1?
Will it be wise to buy r15s or r15v2
I personally Like the r15v2 as it looks beautiful.
I really do not like the design of r15s. fairing and rear portion as it look exactly like the old version (from photos)
The fairing looks very different. I thought that the fairing would be the same.

Yes, slight improvement is there, though im not sure if the setting '9' is the best for performance.Originally posted by vjxm View PostR u feeling any improvement in acceleration or low rpm torque by changing CO setting.

Yamaha calls it 'FI Station'. It has a huge lcd, if that helps
