I had been to the Yamaha dealer today and this black edition hasn't been launched. Atleast the black R15s he was unloading were still the old dual tone ones.

Secondly, India is full of spies who spy automobiles even before they are exposed to air from the factory. Many websites would have been full of Scoops, spy images and what not.

Sorry to hear that. Take care buddy.

And panel surrounding head lamps costs ₹1730

Hello friends. I am an owner of fz16. I really love R15 for its styling only (because fz offers better comfort in city riding and touring) . But still getting fuel injection unit as well running120 km/hr day long is what i really need . I love my fz but want R15 too. I can exchange my fz for R15. Is it a good deal. Fz runs good with butter smooth engine . But I really love R15. I know thats its odd to ask in R15 blog but still...
        Thanks in advance.

Thanks brother, any idea how much the right side rear view mirror would cost?

Well brother it is more powerful than the fz, so it is a proper upgrade. Add liquid cooled engine, dual disk brakes, fuel Injection, lambda sensor etc etc and it is the best in its class. So if you want it go for it man. You already know about the build quality and reliability of Yamaha, as you own the fz.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

If you are otherwise happy with your FZ16 then you should reconsider your decision. R15 definitely looks very amazing especially in that red colour. But you already have an equally reliable tourer with you.

Your requirements are fuel injection and doing 120kmph all day long. Such speed though a bit risky, is better possible on a 200cc machine. By the way, how about a black Pulsar RS200? It has fuel injection and a 24.5bhp 200cc capable of doing 120kmph with ease all day long. Fit and finish is definitely below Yamaha standards. Long term reliability isn't yet known. Looks are subjective. I find R15 way better in looks.

Gone are those days when people used to complain about Bajaj bikes quality.the new RS aAS have no quality issues.you buy an FZ worth 1 lakh and then the engine stresses lost 80,almost takes eternity to reach 100 but you will b stressing the engine at 100.
As/NS/rs200 are one gem of an engine.you can tour all day long at 110 without even sweating a bit.I am not sure what you mean by low quality because you will never get an r15 finish at that price but what you do get is a bike which goes 136 kmph stock, some killer lights for night driving,a FE of about 37-40 and an ultra cheap service cost.
Reliable I sincerely doubt because of it wasn't reliable then you won't see 1000 of people buying Bajaj bikes.its absolutely reliable.reliability is on the hands of the owner.
Give AS/RS200 A test drive ,specially after coming from FZ. I actually test drove one FZ and I didn't like the power delivery at all may be coz I m spoilt of power and speed coz I drive a pulsar.

One more thing ,why do you need a Fuel Injection?what's the necessity for you to get FE?
I am asking this because I know its fun to have a high tech system and latest stuffs with you but since we are talking about 150-200 cc bikes which basically doesn't get any advantage if it's fi or carb.

I respect your views, but I have owned a pulsar in past and and yamaha at present. Do a hill climb with both the engine. The torquey , super silent , vibe free, extreme fun to corner and flickable riding position is what will yamaha get for you. Just hear a 5 yr old yamaha engine and 5 year old bajaj engine. The comparision is over. I have cruised at 85kmph for around 730 km in a day. I also had a chance to drive bullet/pulsar 180 on same trip. I started wishing why it is not giving me that sound/feel that i love. Definately I will test drive this weekend for AS200. Will not go for RS ( it looks to snazy and cheaply built, no offense bro). AS200 is definately in my thoughts. THANKS FOR YOUR VIEWS. [emoji3]

Yes if you would have read my post then by now you would have understood that I do agree old pulsars were poor built quality.
Now you try to listen to a 5 year old 200ns and then tell me if you hear any differnece.do a hill climb and corner on it.I can bet you no way you will say it has lost power.its a beast and so is AS.I don't like RS coz it looks to much on its design.however don't say its plastic is cheap.its good enough.
As I mentioned before even a 5 year old NS can beat a brand new r15 anyday ,but I am saying this just for the sake of argument.
Try the 200as and then tell me how was it.Its a gem of an engine and top class engineering.

How long does the stock battery of R15 V2 last ? Is there a way to access it ?

I tried hard to lift the petrol tank after removing the two bolts but something is not allowing me to remove the tank.

I was successful in removing both the side fairings and check the coolant level.

Bike has completed 20000 Kms in last 2 Years & 8 months. Running of the bike has become limited to 10Kms per week.

What is the expected price it can be sold.

It is a 2012 special edition red/white color.

I have a Third party insurance in place (because of very less usage) & a new Eurogrip Rear tire.

RS200 is built well compared to older Pulsars. But owners and reviewers do say that the fairing of the bike makes audible rattles. Not sure why its still not fixed.

                                23k kms report.

I've reported a while back that the bike wobbles past 70. The 21k run front tyre was the culprit. Replaced the tyre and the wobbling disappeared.

Since stock tyre wasnt available anywhere, I put the Michelin pilot sporty. I guess its 90/80 and costed 1.7k

This tyre sucks when it comes to wet conditions. Front end feels slow, lost the feel etc. Stock tyre is the best option.

The RR unit found to be faulty as the bike used to turn off randomly(just engine) and had a 'missing feel' when I revv it. Also the check engine light showed code no.46 which suggests a electrical malfunction.

I had to replace the battery too, since the damaged rr unit overcharged* the battery and damaged it.
                                RR unit -900
                                Battery - 1000.

Changed the CO value to 9 from zero and there's definitely a difference in low and mid range power.
