Agree about the engine of NS being an absolute gem.Originally posted by xplod566 View Postnice to hear the NS is still in good condition.I have the AS but i felt tlike the Engine in NS is a gem.The engine is one gem of an engine.
Howveer since you rode for 36K kms can you may be give a small experience about your bike so far
I won't say much about ownership experience as this is a Yamaha R15 thread, but in short, it's been surprisingly a flawless experience. Mine is a 2012 model, and given the kind of abuse it has taken in past 3 years, due to my riding style, I won't even complain if it seizes tomorrow (hope it doesn't though
) It's only wear and tear part replaced till now is it's chainset, not even Clutch plates, despite stunt sessions as I mentioned earlier.
Today I feel immensely happy that the mighty 200NS proved all those skeptics and non-believers wrong. I also have a RC200 but I love to ride my NS time and time again, pure naked fun !

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Hello everyone!
Got my R15S a week ago. I had been riding LML Freedom before that for past 5 years. I am enjoying the R15 experience, but discovered some issues during this time.
1. The clip-on handlebars seem to be having some manufacturing issue.
The gap between handle and tank, when steered fully, is less on the left side than on right by 7-8 mm or so.
2. I have clocked 136 km on odo, and the bike doesn't feel as vibration-free as I thought it would be. I can feel vibes even on footpegs while at 4-5k rpm in first 3 gears.
3. Engine idles at 1700-1800 rpm, while manual states it should be 1500 (it falls to 1500 after a minute of idling though). Should I get it adjusted?
4. I'm planning to have a main-stand installed, and ASC is quoting Rs 800 for that, but I've read here that some people have got RX135's main stand installed for 250 bucks. Is it detachable?
Suggestions please.....

1. Get that fixed. Show it to the SVC. Triple clamp alignment issue.Originally posted by Vivek_G View PostHello everyone!

2. It is still breaking it. It takes about 5-6k kms before you feel the engine getting smoother.
3. No, it is normal, runs higher before it warms up.
4. Yes, it's got a pin that runs across, you can detach the pin and remove the stand once done. Search the thread for photos.Last edited by hatebreeder; 11-18-2015, 07:23 PM. Reason: I'm probably blind or suffering fro A.D.D.

I also got R15s , same vibe issue and also mirror seem to vibrate. Clocked 170 km, no problem with clip ons., but there is some humming sound below, engine heats up quikly and fan comes in within 3-4 km of traffic.Originally posted by hatebreeder View Post1. Thanks! Will show it to service centerOriginally posted by hatebreeder View PostTriple clamp alignment issue..
I also reside in East Delhi. Himgiri Yamaha (Krishna Nagar) guys told me they will have center stand in stock within a week...will check with them this weekend.Originally posted by slevynhawk View PostHe is talking about ODO not the SPEEDO..
Any leads to get the Centre stand in and around East Delhi..??
Yeah, fan kicks in in traffic, but usually natural air suffices.Originally posted by Anunay View PostI also got R15s , same vibe issue and also mirror seem to vibrate. Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0- Battery-Horn Issue
Hi Guys,
From last few months I am facing an issue w.r.t battery. Whenever my bike is slow or the high beam is ON; my horn loses its intensity i.e. it doesn't sound like a R15 V2's horn.
To explain it further, this doesn't happen much during the day as my headlight is OFF. But during the evenings when i am stuck in traffic; even in low beam the horn's sound reduces automatically. When i rev the bike a little; it becomes fine. But on HIGH Beam, no matter what I do; the horn doesn't sound OK at all.
I did the following things to troubleshoot this issue:
1) Got my horn replaced as the mechanic told me that it could be due to a faulty horn.
2) Got my Tata Green battery replaced with an EXIDE battery as the mechanic told me that it could be due to the fact that my battery is 2 yrs old and is not getting charged properly. I was not sure of this as the battery readings were totally normal. Still i went ahead with what he told me and got it replaced anyways.
Despite of taking the measures mentioned above; the same issue persists. Has anyone of you faced something similar or have any idea regarding this?
