      Hello everyone,

I am planning to get a used R15 V2.0, its a late 2012 model and had done approx 20000 KM, My question is what parts need to be changed if we take in consider regular service intervals e.g chain, clutch plates, ball bearings and etc.

Is there any particular problems I should look for which a regular R 15 tends to have.

      Thanks In Advance.

        Hello guys,
Speedometer is acting weird for a couple of days now. Everything works fine, the fuel gauge, trip metres etc. except the speed indicator. Speeds are shown randomly like 12-50-35 kmph.
        What could the problem be?

        Ride safe and have fun.
        Regards

Get the speedometer cable changed. They tend to go kaput. There is an electronic part that attached to the front wheel hub. get it cleaned first and check if its working. if not, new one will set you back by 1100-1200 bucks

This is the second meter on this bike first one got damaged in an accident.
Will get the cable changed and the sensor part on the wheel hub.

Using v2.0 since 4.1 years now. Only replacement I have done is the accelerator wire this month. All services were done on time.

Many times in all these years I had to brake suddenly but the bike just sticks to the ground without falling. Never let me down on the long trips I had, although this isn't the best bike for touring.

Went to get Yamalube SS 15w50 for my v2.0 today, and the shop keeper gave me this instead, Yamalube 10w40 fully synthetic. When I asked for the 15w50, he told that its been discontinued and 10w40 is going to be the standard ones for r15.so I just bought this home and did change the oil yet. Can I go got this oil?

Yes bro u can use it
                  I have used this
It gives good preformance the engine has become super smooth
But it's not like motul 300v
For its price it gives the ultimate preformance

Just take it to SVC and ask them to start it using a new battery. My friends R15v2 had the same issue. Changed the battery and voila, it worked like charm.

I am using my bike from 4 years now. Clocked 30k kms. Have been using Motul 7100 20w50 from the time the bike crossed 10k mark. The bike is still going strong, with no niggles whatsoever. Only had to change my rear tyre due to the number of punctures.

No need for a replacement of tyre .
And what do you mean by patched ?
Until and unless the punctures are bigger then 1cm or they are very close ...
A tubeless tyre can take too many punctures don't worry

Hi guys, weird thing happened today. I was riding my bike and maybe after 6, 7 kms the engine light came on, it was there for 2 min and then it disappeared. It never came back again even after turning bike off and turning the key to on. What could be the reason?
