Hmm if you feel fine then its good. Anyways the bike will be in the meaty region of torque band and that will help a lot in driveability.Originally posted by christo View PostI don't feel bike being stressed, revs are bit high but not stressed. And i get 30+ riding fast.
BTW how is your brake hose holding up. I bust mine 5k kms back back on crappy stock brake hose now. Be careful of the routing. and notice the kink which happens when forks are compressed.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
It got sheared into two parts from the marked place. The part was having a kink because whenever the forks compressed the hose will bend steeply at that place . This went on for 60k kms and finally it broke in the middle of traffic. Back to stock lines now but they are crappy when you downgrade from steel to rubber lines.Originally posted by Abishek94 View PostWent bust as in??

Update:Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostSorry to hear that, but fault is 90% of showroom and rest 10% of yours ( sorry but i felt it ), you should not have accepted those bills and would have demanded whole 37k single bill and mention of 10k as advance should have mentioned in that bill. Now coming to insurance claim, showroom people would have told them claim of 27k not 37k. What you can do now is mail all bills and explain all situation to yamaha.
So I called Yamaha first, explained the situation and mailed them all the bills and reciepts. They called the dealer and spoke with them, Then I recieved a call from Yamaha asking me to go to the dealer with all the bills. The dealers then verified all the bills and gave me 50% out of the 10k that was not covered in the insurance.
If I had visited the dealer first, then I'd have got nothing! Yamaha India's customer support is awesome, but some dealerships earns bad reputation to them. Never will I go to Kochadi Alagendran Yamahas again in my life! Cause I never felt this cheated!

So its better to stick with stock hose.Originally posted by black asp View PostIt got sheared into two parts from the marked place. Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
If you route it properly so that there are no sharp bends then its fine. Still it lasted 60k kms that's commendable. I will soon be back on the 220 lines. The stock lines are no match for a steel line. Alternatively and best way is go for HEL or racing boy lines made specifically for R15 if you have cash(~3500 bucks).Originally posted by vijaycool View PostSo its better to stick with stock hose.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Nearly rammed a lorry, lost the brakes completely and the lever was compressed to the max as if it's a clutch lever, was doing 40-50 and behind a lorry in a fly over when this happened.Originally posted by christo View PostI routed mine exactly like this.

Can you describe step by step how you replaced fork oil. What is the quantity of oil required and suggest me a fork oil grade and brand. I use service center till my free service coupons gets over. Currently 12k on the odo.Originally posted by faz View PostHello Riders,,

I got a service manual (PDF 21 mb from Yamaha) for R15 while I was googling about fork oil changing.. it describes everything.. but fork oil changing has an interval of 10k kms.. so if you're done at 10k on the odo, the next will be at 20.. also there are so many DIY threads regarding this..
-You need center stand for doing fork oil change
-then support the bike with wooden piece or tie the frame with a rope to the ceiling
-Remove wheel, mudguard, caliper etc from fork.
-Loosen the fork stem top Bolt
-Remove fork stems by loosening the pinch bolts
- remove forks out and remove top cap bolt
- components you get are in the order, --> top cap bolt--> plate washer--> spacer --> plate washer--> spring. Clean them
- Stroke the inner tube several times while draining the fork oil
- use the specified 10w yamalube fork oil
- we need 126 mm air space to the oil from the top of the inner tube, with the inner tube fully compressed and without the fork spring. Or pour 240 ml of fork oil.
-Before measuring the fork oil level, wait ten minutes until the oil has settled and the air bubbles have dispersed. And Stroke the inner tube several times slowly.
-Install the spring with the smaller pitch facing up.
- then install the plate washer , spacer , washer, cap bolt back in the same order.
- then give some lubrication to the fork oil seal by removing the dust seal and applying Grease on the inner tube and stroking it in and out to get the Grease into the seal.
-Be sure not to scratch the inner tube.
- install all the components back in to the bike..
- have a look at these links.. it will help
