Hey, assuming that you were present in the sc doing above jobs.. can you please elaborate how they did the fork oil change?? I have a doubt that do we have to dismantle the entire fork components like the spring and other things etc for oil only change? I googled alot but every article describes about dismantling the entire components inside it.. I ask so coz if it just a fork cap removal and pouring the old oil out and new in, then I could easily do that.. but not sure about the whole unit disassembling..

Yes the whole assembly is removed. Spring is removed, checked and then oil is filled and the components are assembled back. The fork oil seal can be set in place only if the forks are removed from the assembly. You cannot remove only oil seal and topup the oil and place it back in. It needs overhaul.

            A quick question.

Is the amount covered by insurance claims, inclusive of the taxes we pay for the spares? Or is it just for the spares alone without including the VAT tax?

            Need quick replies please!

Bought a used R15 Fiery Red L.E for 64k 3 months back. The Owner was a fellow friend and was looking for an upgrade and the bike was barely used with just 12649 kms on the odometer.

Congrats on the bike brother but please don't "jaise dil kare chalao". Company has printed rules for break in period for a reason. Please follow them, I know they are going to be hard but you have to think "long term" for your bike. Surely 1 or 2 times maximum you rip your bike out but only 1 or 2 times .. It surely was advantageous for me.

I would say continue to drive below 5k rpm till 3000-4000 km and gradually increase the rpm after 2nd service. Once the engine set it you will be rewarded with well set smooth engine combined with superb fuel efficiency.

One thing you could do extra if you want to which I did after reading lots and lots of break in period reviews(Believe me) was that I changed the oil within 1st 500kms before the first service. Now I know it is could violate your warranty if the company finds out and it is waste of money as you have to do first service in 1000km, bla bla bla but when I changed the engine, I noticed silver particles in oil and oil filter. It comes out of cylinder head which is normal but oil with metal couldn't be good right ?

This issue is very rare once in 2 o 3 days.

Anyone else experienced this issue? Is this any fault in the bike's electrical ?
                            Hi Sundeep,
Me to facing similar issue, when i turn on Day time running light back-light works normal but once i switch headlights on than instrument cluster backlight goes off.
Earlier mine too was not very frequent but now this happens all the time. I am planning to visit SC and try and get it rectified. If you find any solution please do let me know.

And where did you got it from and cost of sliders.

Oil with metal is not good but since it is coming out in the first service then its fine. Metal comes because the engine is not tested for a long duration. Though the parts are supposed to match perfectly there is still some margin left. So when we use the bike in the initial stages the piston, cylinder head and cam shaft have some friction as a result when these parts move silver particles get shredded and come out. I owned a pulsar 220 before and freaked out in the service center when i saw metal but was assured it was normal...
