Wish you all a very Happy New Year!
@Kotty- This is not going to be a very costly affair. Dont worry! You have to change - front panel assy(1945), Right panel comp 2(2175), Right panel inner cover(1450), RVM(250),Indicator(141).
From what i assume(not in pics).you may also have to change - Right rear cover(555), Silencer Muffler(250+55 emblem), Rear brake lever (~200) Engine guard(950).
Main issue to be checked is the Fork bend and Wheel bend. You can easily spot a fork bend in R15 when driving it. Hope it helps!
The prices mentioned are of White LE. So your bike's spares will definitely be cheaper. I guess total should come around 6k out of which 50% will be covered by insurance(Plastics).

Same goes to you also..Except the Right panel inner cover(1450), Engine guard(950).Originally posted by Karthik2501 View PostBro can you give an insight about my Expenses too??
Both RVM's are damaged (2*250). You don't have to change the Left component panel in my opinion. It has been just scratched.Rx is a Phoenix!!! It always rise from ashes!!

Strange thing observed today while riding my sweetie.
Was doing 30kmph and mistakenly instead of using high beam switch I powered off the engine kill switch.
The acceleration was cut off instantly. While moving I just turned the switch back to ON position immediately (hardly 2 secs) and viola the bike was running again without hitting the start switch.
How on earth did this thing happen? Or is it normal?

Lol yea.... It's normal,if u r on right gear..... Else u wuld have experienced rear wheel lock... It can start bcz the wheel is still spinning which is enough to crank the engine again back to lifeOriginally posted by chiragsthakur View PostStrange thing observed today while riding my sweetie.

AFAIK you cannot get to know the damages of the bike by just looking at the outer damages (visible). take it to the SVC and check out. remove the fairing, check the Chassis, handle bars, and other things. Once with major accident its hard to get the bike back to normal if there are too much damages. and also since this will affect your mind set about riding, you may sometimes feel that something is not right. Have confidence and go ahead with replacements and other things.'On the Road that never ends...'

There is no difference between the operating procedure of a Bajaj Discover and R15, you are doing good.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostHi, Got My Red R15..........Can anyone guide me on Run-In Procedure please???????????? I too had a small accident almost 5 months ago, only the L-RVM and Left handle bar had to be replaced. although the side fairing got many scratches, but refrained from replacing them.
Now just last week, we were on a 2 days ride covering ~900kms. While returnign back (almost 400 kms left then), I felt that after every lil bit of bad patch/gravel my bike passed through, the RVMs and Headlight assembly used vibrate and gradually it increased to a limit that I had to adjust the RVMS after every 10mins.
Then I stopped for a while and found out that the the screws holding the headlight assemly are broken. So I was holding that part with my left hand and was riding single handedly whenever there was any speed breaker/potholes. The headlights were doing discos on the road
.
Took it to SVC the next day and found that the main Steel bar holding the whole headlight assemblly is broken
.
The reason is the 5 months old accident which left a little crack on the bar and after that going through many potholes resulted in breaking them.
Total cost:
That headlight assembly: 2318
The headlight holding bar:600
The side panel where the assembly is mounted: ~650(need to be replaced yet, the part was not at SVC then)
Labour: 300sigpic
