Sad to hearOriginally posted by kotty4u View PostFriends,
Had a fall in ma Rachel ( R15 V2.0 ) last night, while driving back home.
It was drizzling for hours and during a turn an alto suddenly stopped and, a cbz riding right behind it collapsed and skid and hit my front wheel and i had to brake hard eventually made me to skid
I was just riding about 50 km/hr and i slided hard on the right side and my right leg caught underneath my Rachel and me ( I can barely stand at that moment )
Thanks to my laptop bag , empty road , it avoided multiple collisions and people around , they helped me lift my Rachel
And a BIG THANKS TO MY LS2 RED DRAGON, it hit the road and saved my head and LIFE.
After that relaxed for a while aside the road, drove directly to the nearby hospital, and attended to my injuries.
hope both YOU and RACHEL GET WELL SOON!

But I would advice don't take it for granted....once an alloy is bend then it will make you rip your pocket or put tube in tubeless.
By such incidents mostly alloy gets bend and air leaks from the contacts of the tyres and alloy...
Do monitor your air pressure for 1-3 days, which will help you to decide!! Next time have your eyes on road!!
Alright, will check on that. Thanks, guys!

Damn! Sad to hear that, bro! Take care of yourself, first. Then your Red Rachel! It can be fixed.Originally posted by kotty4u View PostFriends,

May or maynot. I t depends on how big the impact was. Do you notice any difference in handling ? Check tyres for losing of air. Wont be a problem I think. I have ran over many..Originally posted by neodecoder View PostI ran over a speedbraker at 60-70 km/hr. Will this affect the bike?

OMGOriginally posted by Karthik2501 View PostGuys i m sorry
.. i messed up certain things..! Met with an accident yesterday morning..! a staff van just without any signs came out of a petrol bunk on my way when i was at 70kmph..! I couldnt control and had to panic brake and slided towards the van and banged its side and fell down to the ground..! The fault was his since he just tilted his steering from the left side of the lane towards the right to make a uturn.. even though i was honking from 500mts before and used pass lights..! The guy was least bothered..! i was lying down on the ground with my babe shutting down her ignition through sensors .. And my kind advice to my fellow Brothers please wear helmets and proper riding gears..! when i got up from the ground i saw a big stone where my LS2 got banged and saved my life..! if it wasnt for the helmet my head would have been shatterd into pieces and i would have posted these things from HEAVEN
..
thats bad. be careful guys. Karthik please dont ride so fast and panic brake if you see some idiot on the road. no use of regretting it later after something happens. better avoid then be sorry later.
Whats bothering you? do you actually feel anything wrong with the bike? as we said earlier, running over speed braker once wont cause any damage. it usually takes few impacts before anything happens.Originally posted by neodecoder View PostAny other inputs will be appreciated. My question was:
I ran over a speedbraker at 60-70 km/hr. Will this affect the bike?
I see no differences.'On the Road that never ends...'

Thanks for the pointer mate, went there. You were right, they had no clue what they had in stock. Somehow managed to point to the same 150 bucks stuff but it was available only in blue so didn't go ahead. Will need to look somewhere else.Originally posted by Sorcerer's apprentice View PostNot sure of the brand. If you go for SMD they are super bright starting from 150 bucks a pair. higher the SMD higher will be the price.
The ones I fitted were cheap ones not the smd types. Normal white LED's ( one single LED mounted on the holder.total crap). bombay scooters is reliable but the thing is they are not sure whether they have the stock or not. When i went to get the pilot's changed he showed me the 10smd thing 150 a pair.. the very next day I went to actually buy them he said we dont keep the smd type pilots. :O

I see lots of newbies here, and the R15 or any other bike looks attractive when its clean. I'm posting a link for newbies who need to wash their vehicle and keep it clean.
It’s Sunday morning. You were due to go for a ride, but the weather’s naff and you’ve got a hangover. So what are you going to do to spend some quality time with your baby? Clean the thing.
Most of us either love or loathe this particular facet of motorcycle ownership, but if you want your bike to look good all summer – and retain its value – you need to give it more than a 99p shower at the local jet-wash.
If you really want your pride and joy to shine, you need to use a variety of cleaners – and a bit of elbow grease.
We’ve broken the process down into stages to tell you the best ways to clean each part of your bike, plus we’ve given examples of all the materials you’ll need – just always make sure you read the instructions on any product before using it.
1: BODYWORK
Jet-wash your bike first, but keep the nozzle at least eight inches away from decals as they can get damaged. Don’t point it at the wheel spindles, swingarm or headstock either or you could blow grease out.
Then use a de-greaser to clean the really grimy parts, especially the bellypan, before shampooing.
Choose a shampoo with a low acidic content. Each manufacturer lists a different grade of content on their products, so use the lowest you can find and mix it with warm water.
Use a soft cloth and make sure it’s perforated – this allows grit particles to escape which could otherwise scratch the finish. Be careful not to drop the cloth as well as it will pick up grit.
Finally, coat the bike with a high-gloss wax and buff to a shine. There’s no substitute for a bit of elbow grease here. To get rid of wax trapped along the side of decals, stick a thumbnail in the cloth and scrape it out.
2: FORKS
The forks require plenty of attention because they’re often covered in flies and brake dust.
De-greaser works well after a jet-wash, but don’t leave it on for too long, especially in warm conditions – it can stain forks in just five minutes if the weather’s hot.
A radiator brush is the key to getting into all the awkward parts. They’re available from most DIY stores and are designed for cleaning behind your radiators at home.
3: CHAIN
Contary to popular opinion, it is possible to clean a chain – but it’s vital that you thoroughly lube it afterwards
Any de-greaser and an old toothbrush should remove all the old lube and grime, but do not use a jet-wash on it or you could blow out a lot of the internal oil.
If you hose it with the jet-wash by mistake, lube the chain again as soon as you can.
4: WHEELS
Jet-wash the wheels before applying a de-greaser. Again, use a radiator brush to clean around the spindle.
To clean the back wheel, put your bike on its centrestand (or paddock stand) and simply shampoo the wheels using a bucket and soft cloth. You can also put some of the shampoo/water mixture into a spray bottle to reach the nooks and crannies.
If your bike has smooth wheel rims, as most do, use a high-gloss wax to create a shine, or if they have a slightly rough surface – like Ducatis – use silicone spray.
5: EXHAUST
Exhausts can get covered in all sorts of grime from the rear wheel and the heat can bake it on.
You can buy tyre and glue remover to get rid of bits of rubber which have stuck to it, or you can try spraying furniture polish on to the can – leaving it for 20 minutes and wiping it off should do the same job.
Again, there’s a danger of scratching, so use a new cloth and be careful. Downpipes can be buffed up with a bit of chrome polish and some effort.
6: SWINGARM
Painted or polished aluminium swingarms will stain easily with shampoo, so make sure you water it down more than normal.
Again, use a de-greaser first applied with a radiator brush, which will get in among the shock and swingarm. Finish off with a high-gloss wax for the best effect.
7: SCREEN
You don’t want to scratch the screen, so always use a fresh cloth and not the one you’ve just used to clean the swingarm.
Use a normal car shampoo, but be careful not to let it dry under the sun or shampoo may leave a residue which requires even more effort to remove.

Hi,
When i take my V2 at 6-7k rpm, it does not sounds good, does not feel that the engine is ok.
and the fan of radiator has not started from long time, dont know why.
it gets on at very high temp and that too i have notices in traffic. we easily get to know when fan gets on so no chances of missing it.
everything does not seems to be perfect, the engine does not sounds well when i pull hard.
already done with first service 200km back.

lol you have just started to ride the bike and you say something is wrong just because the fan is not on most of the times? It has a job to do, cool the engine when its hotter then its supposed to be. if its not ON that means the engine temp is well under the limits. If it starts then means the engine temp is more then its supposed to be. Usually is starts after a heavy ripping, or riding in hot day in traffic if there is no enough supply of cool air. when you ride very slow, the air flow to the engine and radiator is very less, and thats why it kicks in soon. while touring or going fast, the air flow is high and less chances of fan getting ON.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostHi,

I dont know what you mean by "When i take my V2 at 6-7k rpm, it does not sounds good, does not feel that the engine is ok". so wont comment on that. usually i have noticed that the sound/vibes/behavior of the bike changes betwwen 1.5k rpm to 4k rpm, 4k rpm to 7k rpm and 7k rpm to 10k rpm. this is my observation. check with few other V2 bikes if its happening the same with them.'On the Road that never ends...'

yes i know because the engine has got its running period and has got smoother, all that stuf.
but it sounds like discover when i pull it at 6k rpm.
not smooth as expected.
i have to get 1 ride of another V2, to match up and learn.
" Nauman is getting v2 from my city so waiting for him."
coz have seen other owners in nagpur, they realy dnt care about their v2.
