Need Help !!
Guys . During last November , I just came over a deep pot hole around 45 kmph and the bike front wheel leveled up to few inch and settled on the road . But , I din't feel anything wrong and I was just driving casually till last thursday ..But When my friend's had a ride , they told that there is a fork bend ( They say if they keep the handle bar straight it moves towards left side when the bike speed is below 25 kmph and the bike tends to move right when the bike is above 25 kmph ) So I took it to SVC , the service guy said they had fixed the bent but still there is a problem . Few pics are attached and I have mentioned what is the problem in the pics below ..
I'm worried so much now . That's why posting .. So please help me !!Last edited by ArriveAlone; 01-06-2013, 11:29 PM.

My mileage never dropped below 38 Kmpl. Maximum mileage I got is 44 Kmpl. So your babe is definitely giving less mileage.
That's good
. Do you ride solo or with pillion ?
Things to check for
* Proper tyre pressure [ Checked and pressure are correct ]
* Idle RPM (1.4 K for me @ hot) [ 1.2 K for me @ hot ]
* Brakes. (Sometimes wheels don't spin freely due to over tightened calipers etc..) [ I think it is normal ]
* Air filter (Blockage in Air filter can cause the bike to run rich which will obviously reduce mileage) [ SVC guy said they had cleaned the air filter ]
* Oil filter (Blockage in oil filter can increase the friction between cylinder and piston) [ SVC guy said they had cleaned the oil filter ]
Since our bikes are FI ones nothing more needs to be checked. [ OK ]
Also try changing the petrol pump. [ I put petrol in Shell bunk ]
If you even get lesser mileage after checking the above, report to ASC. [ Hmm OK ]
Well , Today my bike had '2' points and I traveled 40 km's and '2nd' point vanished and i traveled +19 km's to go to the nearest bunk and i asked them to fill the tank . The bunk meter stopped at 8.79 liters . Tank capacity is 12 liters - 8.79 liters = 3.21 liters !! But my bike showed only '1' point . Any problem with the fuel indicators ?Last edited by ArriveAlone; 01-06-2013, 11:54 PM.

Nothing wrong in the fuel indicators. No need to worry. The topmost fuel bar when you tank up has the least capacity, It'll disappear soon. But the last bar lasts long really long. Observation courtesy Kuntal. He has put it up a few pages back that last fuel bar capacity is approx 3.2-3.5 ltrs.Originally posted by ArriveAlone View PostThe bunk meter stopped at 8.79 liters . One more important thing. Please go through the manual. When the trip meters shows F- xx (X denoting the KMS) then your bike hits the reserve fuel and that amounts to 1.9LTRS. When the trip meter stars blinking thats the point you should be worried about when not in the vicinity of a good bunk. Go through the Manual once.
MYTH : 6 fuel bars and 12 LTR capacity indicates that each fuel bar is worth 2 Ltrs of fuel.Keep Calm and Kaam se Kaam
To all those how-to-run-in-the-bike-oh-it's-so-confusing. Here's an advice.
Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

I ride SOLO always.Originally posted by ArriveAlone View PostIn BOLD !!!!!
I used to service my bike @ Sri Motors and I always wait and take.
Even on insisting multiple times, these guys had never cleaned my air filter or oil filter.
They used to say they had cleaned it to me always inspite I watched them that they have not even removed my Rider Seat.
I used to clean my air filter by myself.
The only purpose I am going to ASC is to get a hold on warranty.
I hate the ASCs to the core

This needed a separate post.
Went to wayanad on saturday!
YRC closed group ride. total of 8 riders. all r15 v2. distance covered 700kms appr0x, including 130kms in wayanad itself.
this was an amazing way to start the new year! the first weekend of the year! riding to wayanad with a awesome team, through beautiful and breathtaking scenic areas. those unpredictable curves. wow!
we planned to spend the night there after a good and yummy lunch
went for night ride at 7pm til 1am in the night
went to tea estate, a falls, and finally to a forest that that has one of the best roads i have ridden on which leads to pullapalli town/village. we went into the forest , stood at a place, switched off the bikes!
it was pitch dark and whatta feeling! the ride was amazing even more in the morning when we left form there. the roads fogged totally and so did our visors! water drops dripping form the helmets, having hot sulaimani on the way early morning and riding again. EPIC! will post the pics soon here.
BTW @dpak, sorry bro, these guys suddenly decided to stay there after lunch! for a moment i was disappointed that i had told you it will be one day ride. but FYI next ride there will be 2 days, so we will see you there
and now about the additive that i was talking about in my last post. the bike was so smooth through out the ride! rayhan rode it and said its much smoother then the his bike. Tj wll be trying it now. lets see what he says.

from left. Karthik (aka Redpaladin), Prajwal, Dempsy (the jumping man, coz he almost flew on every hump! ), me, Anil, Surajbhan, Shiv, Rayhan (aka Nullphobia)Last edited by Ron Syl; 01-07-2013, 05:09 PM.'On the Road that never ends...'

Me too had the exact same problem. It is not fork bend or alloy bend . All checked it myself and without an option went to svc. And if you believe me or not, it took just 5 mins for them to rectify the defect. Just show your bike at svc.Originally posted by ArriveAlone View PostGuys .
