few members are new, so they will have somewhat so called " pedestrian" questions that you refer to. then too we do reply to it even though its asked once, answered 10 times. i am sure the r15 v1 thread had similar things in the beginning.

I would personally not give attention to the difference of 500rpm till the time your riding on streets and not measuring your lap time cos with the time of ownership of any vehicel it develops the character of it's rider/driver...so after a while no 2 vehicles perform exactly the same.
that '500 rpm' was just an example. i do not know the exact number since it was pretty long time i had asked them. yes its very small to observe, but thats the whole point of it. so that you dont feel its under powered once it reaches the limit. thats the other reason the ecu is changed to race ecu on tracks.

Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

I agree, for a testing team any figure is of significance cos that develops their base of improvement. But I was considering the observation of 500rpm made by incipent not to be that significant for street running bikes. You infact are bang on with your point, no disagreement on that.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

        • yup, the 500rpm thing is not a big deal. not trying to be a smart alec or anything just something i'd observed and thought was interesting. :-)

              • Decided to miss cab and go on bike to office. One NS walla bhaiya ji without tyre hugger wanted to race, when i didn`t respond, he just wrooomed away leaving all the muddy water on the bike behind him, which by luck was me.. wanted to kill the guy.

                A humble request to all.
Company fits tyre hugger for a reason, think twice before you remove it.

Yes DIY. take wrapping gelatin/plastic sheet, the one which is used to wrap up sandwiches and stuff.. Its thin it's effective and it sticks although it doesn't have the adhesive. So it wont damage the bike visor.
remove the visor, place it on the sheet. spread the sheet on the visor as close and as tightly as you can amke sure there are no air bubbles trapped under the sheet. cut holes for the screws and you have got yourself a now-it-wont-get-scratched visor.

I dont have the pics. But its' pretty easy you can figure that out

This is very common now a days. Don't you wear Jackets/riding Jackets ??
If you don't then please start wearing. This riding Jackets saves you from such incidents as well as Dust/Smoke on your formal/casual cloths. Additionally, most important, It will save you from any mishaps effects on your upper body. If you can then do make a habit wearing knee guard also.
Though it sounds easy to recommend wearing whole riding gears while riding But I surely know how boring it is also. I wear riding jackets and good shoes alone. But I make a point wearing all on long tours.
I am glad, people here are succeed in spreading awareness of safe riding. It's really nice of you that you din't go for race with that racer....lol...let him win Man who cares on that??
In such situation learn to ignore it.
R15 is one of the sports bikes, which by default gets rival pokes on roads or any where, don't know what fun do they get.

Ride safe and wear riding gears as much as you can. Safety first.

We can't stop people removing hugger but expect them to put it back in monsoon atleast!!
And don't forget R15/CBR/NS..etc are really looking good without a hugger. So it will persist in people's mind. We have to find alternative!!
