Nothing to worry, this sound is the result of the engine cooling down
P.S. I guess this issue has been discussed many times in this thread. Please go through the thread carefully.

            No, Weekend once.

            I'm positing my schedule again.

Iam putting up my weekly maintenance schedule for the bike, i do it over the weekend, have been doing it for past 3 bikes, 2 of them with chain drive as final transmission.

Tools used - (Iam putting it through the procedure wise) - Bike used Yamaha YZF R15 V2.0
            1) WD40 - Rs 250 - 400ml
            2) Motomax Shampoo - Rs 50 - 100ml
            3) Motomax Liquid Polish - Rs 60(odd) -100ml
            4) Motomax 2k Rubbing Compound - Rs 50 - 50ml (For scratches only)
            5) Motomax Dashboard Polish - Rs 90 - 100ml
            6) Oks Chain Spray - Rs 260 - 500ml

            Procedure

            1) Spray WD-40 on chain, make sure you spray it directly, you will observe that dirt starts dripping as it is a strong degreaser. Make sure the bike is on paddock stand as it requires continuous motion to penetrate deep inside the chain links. If you do not have a paddock stand, do not worry. Get hold of a friend who can tilt the bike one side and then continue with the cleaning process.

TIP - Its a chain degreaser, so use it first before washing the bike so that once the dirt is gone, a pressurized water spray will remove the left over WD40 also, or else when you lube the chain it will immediately degrease it within seconds leaving your bike chain dry.

            2) Now the chain is clean, head for washing. I do not have a pressurized pump or motor for washing. A bucket full of water and a clean cloth is enough for me. 1 and half bucket of water, make the bike completely wet, then add the Motomax shampoo and wipe it clean. Make sure the cloth has enough foam to remove mud from panels and parts. Make good foam and wipe the panels properly, once done, rinse the bike completely.

Tip - My suggestion is buy a 3M microfiber cloth for washing. Trust me there is a huge difference from a MF cloth from a usual rack used for cleaning the bike. You can save one time butter chicken meal to get hold of a 3M cloth.

            3) Once the bike has dried up completely and there is no foam residue avoid keeping it under direct sunlight, make sure you have another dry cloth to wipe off excess water. Once dried apply the polish, use a soft sponge which can help in damping the panels. Do not, I Repeat do not apply polish when the bike is wet. Till then you can let the washing cloth dry in sun. Now its buffed up but not wiped with dry cloth so let it be that way, it needs to dry up, no sunlight either. Dried wax is like a shield on your bike panel, it protects the paint from chipping and fading, this added layer is your only protection for your vehicle.

            4) Apply Oks Chain spray till the polish dries. Make sure you perform this step with the use of paddock stand or with the help of a friend. Do not try to do it on your own by tilting the bike one side, your hand might get caught in the sprocket or the wheel, then forget everything, yes, even pleasuring your self . Now let the chain spray dry, with the application of chain spray the polish that you have applied in step 3 would have been dried up completely. Now wipe it off with the use of dry and clean cloth. Make sure headlights are covered too. Chain spray requires additional hour for drying up completely on the chain links, do this step when you have some extra time to spare.

            5) Apply the 2k rubbing compound if you see any minor scratches, apply it in circular pattern and once dried wipe it off. It should be applied after the wax polish procedure.

            6) Apply dashboard polish to the head console and those black panels which are surrounding the display unit. Cover mudguard, that fake carbon fiber side panels and mirrors (black rear side)

            Difference after washing and lubing-

            1) Paint has that glow which shows showroom finish.
            2) Smooth gear shifts since the chain is cleaned and lubed in right manner.
            3) Chain sprocket kit has longer life (Discover chain sprocket kit changed at 28,000kms and Pulsar - 33,000kms). Our R15 is freaking costly so might as well do it this way.
            4) Lubing of minor parts is done too like clutch handle lever, gear levers, brake levers.
            5) Minor scratches are removed.
            6) Thorough checking of vehicle is done during washing, piston chamber leaks or punctures in wheels are easily noticed.

            WARNING
            1) Do not brush or spray water directly on the radiator.
            2) Do not apply polish when the bike panels are wet.
            3) Do not wipe off polish with a wet cloth, always use new, dry and clean cloth.
            4) Always have a friend who can help in lubing and cleaning of chain if you do not posses a paddock stand.
            5) Do not dry or wash your bike in directly sunlight, washing okay not for long but a serious no for polishing it in direct sunlight.
            6) Radiator cleaning should be done at SVC only, they have the right tools.
            7) Avoid spraying excessive chain lube since it might leak on the left hand side of the tire which might result in slipping when you approach left turns.
            8) WD40 is a strong degreaser, apply it first.

All the products are easily available in automobile shops, if not then check in shell petrol pumps they stock MotoMax products. This is affordable for me and gives the bike a perfect shine, yet there are products in the market which might actually glow in dark types but iam satisfied with the output and cost spent on these products.

Attaching a pic of the products i use, Sorry for the quality since its taken on my cellphone.
If you have any doubts feel free to ask.

All these products last for 1year odd. Total time taking not more than an hour.

Any hardware store, there is a replacement available called as Zorrick from Pidilite. It is as shitty as it can be, avoid zorrick at all costs, comes in a yellow bottle. Life cycle mall has dozens of cans of WD40, they are located on Tilak RD near Monarch Automobiles.

That looks serious not a manufacturing mark, more like a defect but maybe the paint cracking?

Inspect the mark and make sure its not deep and keep an eye to see if it's developing more.
                      Good luck.

Just FYI Puneri, for people residing around Aundh, these things are also available at reliance store there. <not the chain cleaner and lube though>.
There are digital/analog air pressure readers and puncture kits as well.
White philips LED were also there, 6700K, seemed promising, but cost = 1600 INR a pair. So went to Poona Scooters and bought local for 180 bucks.

                        • Hi guys. Can you please help me with the following:

                          1. What is the cost of Angel Eyes with HID/Projector headlamps?
                          2. Do they increase the lighting? (i.e. Will it increase the range and make the road more visible at night?)
                          3. I own a R15 V2 50th Anniversary LE. What color will suit? I mostly see blue everywhere but the bike is white and red so, I'm thinking white?
                          4. Are they worth the money?
                          5. Are they worth voiding the warranty?
                          6. Will they affect the battery to a huge extent or is it something that can be lived with? Or do we need to get a higher capacity battery?

If anyone here has installed this on their R15 V2 WGP LE or if you have pics, please post the pics here. Thanks!

                            6. this one depends. i see abhi having both projectors and angels, he has not faced any problem. Karthik (red paladin) has faced little. if your battery cant take it then higher capacity battery is needed. I guess it can be lived with.

                              • I personally like the R15 with the stock headlamps. Projector/angel eye thingie looks best only when it is done by the manufacturers, eg, the R1[pre 2009 version] and Audis with angel eyes look so natural with them.
