funny but cant you test ride it? since you will be buying and riding it. and since its your first bike as you say, i would highly recommend you to be satisfied with the bike rather then asking others to test it for you.

Very true but sometimes expert's opinion might help, it's like PDI for this bike

        • [QUOTE=If you want your engine to be in the best of condition (meaning able to deliver best performance, what is meant for), every statement in the run in procedure mentioned in our manual has to be followed religiously, including giving short speed bursts occasionally (still upholding the rule of 'no sudden acceleration'). Being too skeptical and conscious can sometimes do more harm to the engine than good.[/QUOTE]

Ok, i would be go now with the manual.
          thats promise to myself.

no bro, sorry , i actually didnt read that "used" part in his post. i thought he was getting new bike. but how ever he should also ride it once before getting it. and yes someone who has R15 V2 and experienced can be with him.

The rider who owns the same bike has more knowledge of the ride, that is always an good option.

But the same rider may hide some things, as his priority would be to sell off his bike. So it's best if he takes someone who owns an R15 with him, to test the performance of the bike

                  Hey Mile Muncher,
By 'same bike', manpreet meant R15v2, not the bike being sold

                  • @ Ronsly: No issues bro, I have already taken a test ride and was supposed to get the bike checked from an authorised service center, but unfortunately got tied up with work so could not head down. The only issue is that although the bike is in a good condition, I felt there is a certain engine lag, I pointed it out to the owner as well but he said this is the normal acceleration, now it can definitely be a mistake from my side as well :P , so just to avoid that confusion I wanted someone who rides a v2, to cross check it and give me an unbiased feedback.

@ kuntalnag, have already got a colleague of mine to check it, anyways thanks for your help.

Guys please let me know if i have to keep anything in mind or check anything while handover. I do have an idea of the PDI and had already checked most of the things in the initial meeting.

hmmm ok. Check almost everything. gear shift, acceleration, electricals, lights, tool kit is there or not. last service records will be a good thing to ask him, manual and service record book, both keys with that number tag, insurance papers, invoice , RC card, emission test certificate, check how many punctures the tyre has {just to make sure that you are aware of it}. and also ask him in a friendly way if you have to be aware of any issue in the bike. who knows he spit it out. lol.

apart from this lemme break this news to all. Finally i got my bike, a second hand bike. done about 2.8K on the ODO. the owner hardly used it for 10 months :P will be riding to GOA on it on 24th for our YRCIndia meet.
