Getting an average of around 37kmpl in city & highway mixed riding. Will be getting Motul Chain clean & lube tomorrow. I had cut the tyre hugger & the bottom part of the tail gets really dirty. Although i have ridden it to 80+kmph the mud doesn't splash on the shirt or back of the pillion. So its save. But still will get a new tyre hugger for the rains. Clocked 125kmph on the highway on my way to Vasai. I must say the bike is less vibration free on higher rpms. I have enough juice left to take it to higher speed but as i m still in run in so didnt take the risk.
Why 3rd service in 2 months buddy?
When was the first service done?
Also 125 kmph seems to a bit more (although a short burst shall be forgiven by Lord YAMaha! )

Yes, another way. Experience matters, but not for first timers...

      • Is there a tutorial someone can link me to about Cornering?
My left handers are pretty neat but I totally suck at right hand corners. Finding it difficult to control the throttle and balance the bike simultaneously. <

Whoa, that is some mile munching, keep it going bro!

All - I had said earlier that the oil filter change interval is 10k kms. But that holds good only as per the V1 manual; the V2 manual clearly prescribes changing it at every regular service.

Wonder why this difference cos engine is the same

I m really sorry. I meant i have changed the oil & oil filter 2 times including once during servicing. This time giving just for Oil & oil filter change. Completely forgot that this time just want my oil & oil filter changed.

there is coolant overflow through the drainage pipe every morning...the engine is getting hotter than usual, just like the first 500KMs..and, the engine overheating light comes up occassionally once i ride through heavy traffic...once the the light comes up it goes off again right after a short ride/burst in free roads...
i did change the engine oil last week, the fan runs well as i can see and hear that..the coolant was topped-up...the coolant system was checked by the SVC guyz and they say it is working fine...

i am quite confused and frustrated a lot.
guyz, can you help me out...?
I have the same problem, except the fact that i dont have coolant overflow! Checked all the usual things in SVC, but still could not solve it! wondering what to do!
