Even I was thinking of doing the same. Did you do it on your own? Or at a workshop? I believe it'll be pretty easy to cut by myself.

Also, I noticed my chain has slight rust on it on the inner side. Should I be concerned? The bike is just about 2 months old.

Yes you should be. Have you been cleaning and lubricating your chain regularly? At what intervals?

I did with the help of my mechanic... but its pretty easy to do... we can do it by ourselves

Lubricate the chain at the interval of 500kms.. point it out to the svc ppl.. they ll take care of the rest!!

          Ivin gave the info.

Just one more thing: It actually does look better in flesh than best of the pics you can get. Compare this pic with a bike actually under the sun!
This is as told by many (even though I'm proud as well. )

Just wanted to know that is it normal, that I didnt get to know about the punctures in the beginning? I mean 5 punctures are a lot....
I have the same problem. Mine leaks air too often as well. Couldn't see anything when checked though.

          46 under extreme riding..

I get ~29- 33 on the highway on a 80 kms run at 120+ kmph. (Seldom use 6th gear though.. Always 9.5 K+ RPM)
          I think its normal, right?

I'm not sure about this. But when I checked, with the engine s/w ON, the fuel pump is checked, not the radiator fan.
When engine s/w OFF, no activity from fuel pump..

Thats quite normal, You see cruising gear is meant for elongated speeds, straights where braking wont be there. Try not to go to red line that much, no damage but yes the wear and tear is much more. Short blasts is okay.

Yes the fuel pump is checked and so is the radiator fan.

If the fuel pump is having problem expect the LED Warning light to be turned on.
If the radiator fan is having problem expect the LED Engine Heating light to be turned on.

I'll post the pics soon dude.. Yeh i guess it is not a proper fit because i remember then having some problem with fitting the lower small fairing back on after putting on the exhaust but they did something on it for sometime and it worked out fine. Mine hasnt melted or anything so far, and i have done a good 600kms atleast after putting on the exhaust and some rides at a stretch for a longer period of time too. Will put up the pics for it later in the night.

Youre welcome bro. For the leakage of air, I too had the same problem, but my tyre mech couldnt find any big cracks or a nail or something like that on one look and he said alloys are bend. I was like . But while washing the bike from home later that day, I poured water on the tyre(full rear tyre , pour water continuously ) , and all of a sudden, I heard a sheee...sheeee... sound , that was air leaking and small bubbles coming out. Repaired it and all fine till now..
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

                    Tip
                    1) Ensure you are using a clean cloth where the bungee cord is rubbing against the rear panels so that scratches or paint chipping does not take place.
                    2) When you attach the bungee cord please keep your face (esp eyes) away because the chances of that cord snapping and hitting your face are more. Experienced and got this tip from a senior rider.

                    PS -

Attaching a pic for you. See the green colored marked area, yes you need to hook it up in that, they are meant for bungee cord hooks.
The cord will run trough the Deltabox sticker so make sure you keep a cloth on both the sides so that it doesnt scratch the body panels.
Thanks for the tip! Yes I am well aware of the fact that the bungee cords scratch the panels. I use them often on my 220. I use a cloth to protect the panels.

1.Yes it does scratch the rear panels a bit!
2.The bag tend to slide down and hit the rider as you go on, which can be avoided by tagging the handle/loop of the bag to the tail part. By this the bag never moves out of place! Provided bungee cords are tied tightly!
3.it is better if you have the full mudguard with saree guard in place. It will help to tie/place the bungee cords.
                    4. Any speed like 90-120 is better in my opinion!

Please refer to the attached pic for reference. For me the bag never got out of position. Even after all those sharp hairpins+300km of ghats!

                    Hope it helps!
                    Deepak.
Thanks Deepak! I was concerned about the second point. Thanks for your tip on that! yes the Saree guard and full mudguard is in place. And regarding point 4 that's really good . Its gonna be my usual cruising speed then

                    • Hi guys,
Just want to share a bad experience happened tonight.
I was only 2 kms away from home, riding at mas 30 kmph speed.
All of a sudden from nowhere a child came up and hit the handle bar with some bat/rod.Lost control and fell down. Hurt myself on leg and hand.

Bike got scratches on all over the left side and left mirror broken along with the bar.
Many more to be discovered may be when I take it to SVC tomorrow.

Although the child was unhurt, i was surprised with the people's notion about bikers.
Some guy came though he was not even at the sight of accident on that time and started yelling at me for high speeding!!!! I mean its considered with that bike and all the gears, I am supposed to be speeding all the time.

Can you please post one side profile pic (right side) like this one (the opposite side though )? Just wanna see the V2 with Joel's FFE from a distance.. And is the FFE like hanging?? :O And doesn't mud and dirt come on your shirt and helmet while riding in rain or muddy areas?

Well, I lubed it at 1000kms last. Not by myself, first service! And its been about a month and a half after that. Odo reads 1700kms. The outer side looks neat and lubed. The inner side(ie, next to the tyre) looks rusty. Not too much, but definitely noticeable.

Please tell me how to lube the r15's chain and what I'll need. Should I go to SVC every time? (500kms interval)
