Thats a good idea. Will have to ask YFS whether I can use the fluid after the tyre has been patched for punctures.

Also I found out that my rear disc fuild is near the low level. Bike has done 4588KM on the odo. I use both disc equally, maybe front a bit more, still front disc reservoir is full, whereas rear is nearly empt.
How much would it cost to get the rear disc fluid refilled from YFS?
    Rs3800,

I would still suggest go for this one as it has been abused and tested for performance. Fluid is bit risky i feel. Pirelli is anytime better than MRF atleast for day to day use. Lets not get track riding in between.

EDIT - Brake fluid anything between Rs 50 - Rs100. Just a ball park figure as bajaj use to charge Rs40 for refill.

BTW the small DOT 4 bottle comes for Rs 25, locate it on the right side middle cowl and replace at home.

Incase you need to pick one - head to Darshan Tyres Kothrud near Karishma soc. Thats near for you.

Dood you are still better off with 2 punctures in 3 months. And here I have repaired about 20 punctures in 3 weeks.
Imagine how much I am pissed off.

In last 4 month with my bike, I have never faced a puncture and I have ridden it on bad roads too... total 3600Kms without any problem... check if tyre pressure is ok (28,33), if it is less then recommended, then tyre gets punctured easily.. too high tyre pressure can cause un-even wear on tyre which might also cause puncture...

when i used to ride in city (Pune) didnt face a single puncture.
But from the day I have to ride to Talawade, thats when my owes have started. For most parts the roads are good, but its the office parking lot and a small stretch of road which is very bad and all the punctures happen here.

Dont know as of now. A guy in office is suggesting me to put a tube inside it.
Thinking of trying that. What say?

The thing is before spending 4k on a new tyre I would prefer spending 200 bucks to try out the tube option.
If that turns out bad then I will surely go in for new tyre.

Well cost is not the only thing involved. High speeds can send the tire flying off your bike. Its a tubeless, it is not engineered to handle a tube in it. Its ok if you are gonna do speeds like 30-40kmph.

Back in Raid De Himalaya - People do such tricks to avoid elimination. But thats okay because they wont be doing more than 50kmph on surfaces where a 4X4 lags to go above 4 gears. Chuck the surface check the speeds.

On tarmac, you might just burst speeds excessive of 70 - 80kmph within seconds which is not advisable when you have a tube inside the tire. Also if your tire has cuts then God save you.

So wasting Rs200 now and then other damages later i would rather go for a new tire.

Yes it will. But if the tyre is woven out then nothing can be done. Prescribed air pressure chart is shown on the left side of swingarm.

                              • TouR(15) 'd !

As I posted few pages back I rode my friends bike from Mysore to Chennai today a total of ~500 kms. This was the first bike I am riding for a long distance other than my 220.

This bike is a Brilliant machine. There were two things I was worried about before this ride. One was the riding posture and the other was the seat. I thought I would have a stiff back and a sore butt at end of this 500 kms ride. But none of these happened! Experienced the much talked about handling of this bike! Braking is also very good. And flick ability is awesome! Being a small bike it has the advantage I guess.

Straight line stability is good and on the corners I needn't say more! On my 220 I will need to shed some speed before going over a corner but on this I could just dive into the corner at any speed!

Since the bike is light had issues when I hit the 'surprise potholes' on high speeds. My 220 was more stable at those conditions ( I am not comparing these two bikes, just that 220 is the only bike I have extensively ridden ) And another thing I missed is 220's torque. Felt over takings were tough on the R15 . Had to cut down a gear or two in some instances. But can get adjusted with this kind of riding.

And yeah this bike has a highly optimistic speedo

Posting it here to share my experience with this bike You all have got an awesome machine
