bro are you sure about the kits? because they will reduce the engine life, and thats why it says "meant for track use only". You make know more about this then me. this is my opinion though. i wont be doing any mods to mine when i get it. will save for bigger bikes for futureOriginally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostOh ok ok.
Same here, the risk involved is also huge. Daytona kits which are factory approved by Yamaha for our bikes I thought Honda might have a brand like that available here in India. About Joel, lets keep this thread clean, also warranty is void and other issues are present.
Time to save now, will see what can be squished in my bday wishlist 1month 12days left.

Certainly, there are some mods which are okay and might not screw up engine life.Originally posted by Ron Syl View Postbro are you sure about the kits? because they will reduce the engine life, and thats why it says "meant for track use only". 1) Bigger front disc
2) Steel braided lines
3) Brake Master cylinder
Iam currently eyeing on these three upgrades. Engine life is not hampered at all. But yes my heart somewhere itches for the ECU, but then a ECU is incomplete without a Free Flow and Camshaft, and I don't wanna screw up with that as it crosses the limits of the engine sustaining power for long term requirements. So ECU, Camshaft and Free Flow are out atleast for now. But the above mentioned ones will surely think on it. Bloody 12,000RPM is surely going to be fast buddy, also that exhaust and cam working flawlessly, too much speed to comprehend for my 90KG body.

EDIT - In the previous post I was stating that Joel mods are risky and not completely trustworthy, the job MIGHT go wrong and then you cant do much, again post bashing, emails, visits, money and all that. No ways, instead, get it done from those who have years of experience and is approved by the manufacturer and is providing warranty like Daytona kits.Last edited by Eshan-P180; 11-05-2012, 08:10 PM.sigpic

ya the ecu alone wont be enough. ask me i know it better
:P i would have tested the ecu more then anyone LOL
talking about the Powertronic ECU form race dynamics. if you are gonna use the daytona kitted R15 as your second bike for fun run then its worth it.

Congo on the buy. You need just the disc plate and the disc caliper holder. But the steel braided hose is your choice though highly recommended. As of now, I had a call, and the svc hasnt got part no.s for R15 v2's new racing parts other than ECU, Muffler, Cam and all others that came with v1.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostHi, i am waiting for my Baby R1, on 28 Nov as guru Nanak jayanti on the same day. can we use the same disk system with new larger disk, and what will it cost for getting a larger disk size.
Can we put R125 front mud guard in R15 v2, any one tried. if yes then what cost.
What is your purpose for the R125 mudguard? I dont tnink anyone have tried it.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

The front mudguard of R125 is more deep hands which is in parallel with the spoke. These small things are very important to make a bike looks more sportierOriginally posted by Ivin View PostCongo on the buy. You need just the disc plate and the disc caliper holder. The Daytona racing parts you mentioned is I guess "Track Only", right? I read it somewhere that it makes the bike street illegal. Is that true? I believe I read it on Daytona-Yamaha site when it was launched.Originally posted by Ivin View PostCongo on the buy. You need just the disc plate and the disc caliper holder. There is no Shell AX5 in 15w40 grade in India , so you must be referring to the 20w40 . For long ride stress during winter choose only the AX7 or Ultra in 10w40 grade . Check all the usual things ; chain & sprocket(correct adjustment & lubrication) , wheel & sprocket bearings , tyres(pressure & wear) and wheel , air-filter (change if past life), spark-plug (change if past life) , steering-bearings(lubricate) , all light bulbs and electricals , service the brakes , replace brake/throttle/clutch cables unless you keep spares and know how to fit em , fresh oil , check all nuts and bolts for tightness , lube the brake/clutch levers and throttle operation , wash clean & shine the bikeOriginally posted by [email protected] View Post... i am goint to bhopal from nagpur by road on my Hero Honda Hunk,

Eshan, when I went thru the link yesterday, I was instantly sold on only these two. Brake master cylinder, to me, is just a cosmetic mod.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostCertainly, there are some mods which are okay and might not screw up engine life.
1) Bigger (petal) front disc
2) Steel braided lines
I my opinion, it will depend on the bhp curve, as in what is the torque and bhp output at the rear wheel at 12,000 RPM since the bhp and torque will progressively decrease from its peak at 8,500 RPM and 7,500 RPM respectively.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostBloody 12,000RPM is surely going to be fast buddy

Good point there mate. Yes the master cylinder would be a cosmetic mod only.Originally posted by TeeJayy View PostEshan, when I went thru the link yesterday, I was instantly sold on only these two. Brake master cylinder, to me, is just a cosmetic mod.

About the ECU, Ill have to check the graphs which I believe will shown at the SVC center, if it shows an increase then only its worth the value, but I think it will since those maps are race specific.
@Akash Yadav - Any modification to the bike done is against the law, for that matter even those steel braided lines are against the law. Since you are customer, you should worry about two things for such modifications.
1) Warranty should not be hampered, should be done by experts.
2) Stay away from Cops :P They might fine you, but checking the ECU and camshaft wont be possible for them, a free flow might attract their attention towards you.sigpic

good question there :P was thinking why no one asked this.Originally posted by dpak89 View PostGross OT ...But still was curious!
Why did not anyone from YRC Bangalore which i presume has more than 20members turn up for the ISG2G in Chickmagalur this weekend ?
Firstly, we had preplanned a goa ride this month and many are on tight budget.
I dont have bike so couldnt join, abhi had prior commitments, and teejayy also the same orelse we both would have been there for sure.
one of the members , Karthik, wanted to go but he got too busy at office and since no other guys were going he didnt go too.
but we will surely be there next time, we obviously dont wanna miss out on these things.
PS : more then 20 members for sure, but half of them qualify for the xbhp rides :P
which has strict rules. hope that more then 10 members atleast turn up next time from YRC
