Feeling sad about that
first thing i wanna point out is that you guys were lucky to escape something huge.
second thing is that start having the practice of wearing protective gears like jackets, gloves and knee guards. these are the common places where you will get hurt the most. just the way you care about the bike and scratches , take care about yourself too.

that said the damages look little bad. get a check done on the chassis of the bike.

Me too had an accident on jun-09-2012.

Me too had the T-Stem inide forks bent (This causes turning radius to be different for right and left)
Gave my bike to Sri Motors, chennai and asked them to change the whole fork assy, but they said they can repair it.
But since the day after repair, my bike doesnt handle well.

Observations on handling part after the accident :
1) On hitting pot holes the bike takes its own mind ( will not be under our handlling and it wobbles)
2) On using the front brake, the handle tends to turn towards left.
3) While cornering, a small unevenness in the road will disturb the handling a lot
4) Left shoulder will start to pain like killing on a continuos ride for about 3 hours.

I had about 4 services done at SRI Motors after this accident and everytime I used to explain these issues, but they simply do their routine service and handover the bike to me saying everything is alright.

Then I thrashed a complaint mail to yamaha and got a call from Sri Motors and they said handle bars, top plate and T-stem needs to be replaced and it would cost 6500.

I am planning to change the front fork assy, coneset, top plate, bottom plate adn handle bars which would cost around 15K on March.

I am writing this to you because you may suffer the same. It is almost 8 months I am crying with my baby because of Sri Motors.

Has anyone of you faced tappet noise in R15v2?

the google maps image of the track is a cool idea, gives a good idea of the track layout.

if you look closely at the image you can see a strip of rubber snaking its way across the track - that the usual line riders take throught the corners!

Thank you very much for the information !! I used to give my bike for servicing at Sri Motors , Chennai . I used to face the same problem as you did . I have to request them to do the work properly and i used to give them 2 days time to complete the work . But still , they won't complete the job properly ..Well , I'm going to take my bike to Sri motors now and let u know what they asked me to do . No. We were not blocking his path. It was a four lane road and we were going on the first lane at about 80kmph and he was driving along the second lane...we were going head to head for about a min, when he suddenly rammed his car to the left and hit us...

Will let you know once i have word with the organizer. if its new then i would not suggest the track for it so soon.

I agree with you Ron . We were lucky , Thank GOD !! My bike is at service center . They asked me to come tomorrow morning by 11 am .
