Do i go for a replacement of teh stock filter with K&N (this has actually screwed my CBZ-X, so a little scared and thus looking for inputs from exp people) or put in K&N RC-1060/1100 in font of the air pipe with the stock system intact .. that means K&N in front of the air intake pipe, on top stock air filter and on top of that air box. I don`t want any performance gain, just the lovely sound.

      Any help ?

If you need only the sound..just drill few small holes on you airbox cover. that will work out..no need of any replacement..but make sure the filter doesent get wet while washing. Installing a universal filter will screw up your engine becoz we have an open loop system in r15 so it wont adjust with the increased air intake. I have a BMC stock replacement filter (part no FM 567/04).

Thanx for your inputs. Since you already have a filter let me ask you,
1)How long have you been using the filter ?
        2)Noticed any ill effects?
3)I think , the Bhp are just in mind, do you see any other diff apart from sound ?
4)Is the sound great ???? (imp one )

After pressing the starter button, the starter motor fires only after 1-2 secs delay.
But the moment starter motor fires, engine comes to life in no time and this seems to be absolutely fine. ( Guess no probs with starter motor)

Then is my starter relay has become weak?
What could be the cause of the delay?
Yes, you better get the relay checked. I faced a near similar problem- sometimes the starter motor just wont actuate even after pressing the button. I had to jump start the bike then. Now the relay sorted out, she is working totally fine

NOTE: While waxing take care and make sure you dont apply wax over that carbon fiber...Its very difficult to remove wax from that..You can see in the pic

Thanks buddy Polish is different from Wax... Polish is genraly used to remove any imperfections in paint and give a temporary shine to it...While wax is used for protecting the paint and give long lasting shine..Collinite is one of the best wax and 1 coating lasts for 3 months...For more details and price look here Collinite 476s

                      • Second service done at 2882 kms on ODO.

                        Cost Break Up :

                        Engine oil - Yamalube 15w50 SL - 505/-
                        Oil Filter - 170/-

                        Total : 675/-

I had chain lube and chain clean so they didnt charge me for that.

Guys remember to ask the service guys to clean air filter element and also to change oil filter during each service as stated in manual. If you dont remind them about it they forget it. I stood in the service area for 2 hours and asked them to follow the checklist given by yamaha.

Why is it printed 20w40/20w50 in R15v2's manual?? Whereas the service centre guys use 15w50.

Dude why u want waste your money for nothing. .. if u r using semi synthetic oil it will be good enough till 3000 kms.. and if u r using fully synthetic oil its good for 5000 to 6000 kms. Only during the first 500 kms run in period you have to change the oil n then at 3000 kms. After that evry 3000 kms or 70 days.
