Will do, Did you ask YFS for a spare?
Ask Satyen, I think he had performed it on the V1.

Yes it does, that's how they program the ECU if it has gone kaput.

YRCIndia completes its first year today birthday celebrated yesterday with 400+ bikers apart form the YRCians who were 50+ in numbers. It was amazing to find so many bikers at one place and interact with them. Asian Grad Prix racer Rohit Giri was present and spoke about his experiences. the eldest rider Mr. Chakravarthy, aged 84, but stll young at heart and owns the RD350 form the time he bought it and is single hand owner of it, spoke about his riding life. The best of the lot was stunt show by Team Zero Gravity, who actually defied gravity and left everyone amazed!!!

Check with my signature for cost efficient solution.

Thats a affordable way out or else you can rely on Meguirs, they do have their dealership here in every city or get them ordered online. Avoid the brand Formula 1 since chances of fake products sold on Indian soil are more.

Eshan- Meguirs are good but not affordable. only cleaning cloth comes for 700rs.

For tank surface, Motomax Wax is best apart from jopasu.

In long run I feel wax is the way to go. But is it applicable for plastic parts also or do I need to have some other products as well.

My advice go for collinite 476. It costs 2100 a tin but worth every penny and a tin can easily last a year if u wax it once a month. Once a month not required but for me chennai's summer rips everything off in a month And wax is applicable for all painted parts so applicable even on fairing

                    Cheers

Yes, wax runs at least a week unless you dont use water to clean as water removes the polish coat and drys.
                      No wax to plastic parts.
For the Black dashboard type plastic near the Speedo meter and the same plastic at the tail part where number plate is fixed -------------Use Waxpol dashboard polish.(Remember, use this polish once a week and stop getting your bike Old)
and for rest panels use liquid polish Motomax, you will always feel your bike good as new.

I have waxpol paint protectol liquid but that is not worth.

If you have more money to invest on same then buy the Jopasu kit for 1200 rs.

and if even more concerned about the Clean and polish part which is a good thing, then Meguirs are best but costly.
                      Please use the soft cloth.

If i am right then Eshan posted his complete process of cleaning and polishing, you can go back pages to check.

                      • Yamaha R15 V2.0 engine block getting heated up abnormally

I bought a Yamaha R15 V2.0 at Bangalore. It is around 6-7 months old. Done around 7400 kms. I have followed the user manual, provided by Yamaha, like a bible. First 3 services have been done from Yamaha service centres only at Bangalore. Last month I moved to Pune. I brought my bike along through a packers & movers group. After this the bike started showing problems. It was getting overheated abnormally. If I rode the bike for around 1-2 kms in heavy traffic, clutch on and always 1st to 2nd gear, it was getting really heated, so much that riding the bike was getting uncomfortable. Then I asked the Yamaha factory shop at Pune about this overheating problem. They drained out the whole coolant and filled in with new coolant overall. 2 days later I went out for a long ride of around 120 kms. The heating problem seemed to go away apparently. But what I noticed is the below engine section, the engine block section painted in matte black, got heated a little abnormally. I ignored it thinking it might be because of non-stop 55kms that I rode. Now when I am riding the bike it is getting really hot. Even riding for only a small distance of 2-3 kms, the engine block is getting heated up. I can feel the heat in my feet quite clearly while riding. I just want to know why the engine block is getting heated so abnormally. It never used to be like this. I have rode my bike at a stretch, for 100 kms, that too at above 100 kmph for 90% of the time. Then also it didn't happen like this. I have jotted down some possibilities (I don't know if they are correct or not):
                        1. I can hear the sound of the radiator fan, but don't know how to check if it is working correctly or not.
                        2. The air filter. Does it need to be cleaned? I got it cleaned during the last service, at 6300 kms.
                        3. The clutch plate might have got loose because of the transportation.
                        4. The current temperature of Pune hovers around 34-40 degrees Celsius. Can it be because of the warm air flowing?
                        5. The clutch plate not getting released fully. But I don't feel any decrease in my bike's pickup.
                        6. Do I need to change the coolant fully again? It has been recently 2 weeks back and the bike has run only around 400 kms after that.
Please help me as I love to go out for long rides, and for the current scenario, I fear if something goes wrong during a long ride.

recently, i am getting a mild rattling noise from the bike when the engine is idling.
i think its from the clutch, pulling the clutch in (while in neutral) reduces the noise.

i have come across a few posts about clutch bell noise in R15 v1. could this be the same thing?
showed it to a SVC mechanic, he thinks its clutch bell noise.

                              1) do i need to get the clutch bell replaced?
                              2) is there any harm in just leaving it as it is since the noise isn't bothering me too much (yet)?
                              3) will the noise get worse with time?

FYI, my bike's done 19k km and its used for sport riding: high rpms shifts, aggressive downshifts etc...

Even i get the same noise but that's normal i think.
the sound gets less on neutral when clutch is pulled to an extent
