  • The rear brake is not supposed to be too powerful, it should be little lesser then the front. Practically and theoretically. when we apply brake, the force and weight is transfered to the front, making it easier to lock up the rear if braked hard, just like in the case of motogp racing. now in normal use people tend to use rear brake a lot more, which makes them prone to skids, fish tailing and eventually falling. when i met @shubham, i saw that he had used rear a lot and hardly any front. as for me then brakes are perfect and should be used properly to get good results. and trust me the rear will lock up if you know how to lock them up (powerslide ) for which we put more pressure to the front to get the rear wheel lock up. simple.

I am still not clear why he feels that the brakes are not powerful enough... .... you really need to be riding at the very edge of the handling envelope to make the brakes feel spongy and dead, which incidentally is beyond most ordinary riders' skill set, comfort zone.

Dunno why... Maybe someone who owns a r15 should test mine and say whether there is a problem. With combined braking, stopping power is good but Still i cant accept the fact that its the best brakes in its class
Will try to drive another V2 soon

          • My personal Experience,
When i find a speed breaker like 100m distance and running on speed of say 70-80kmph
i start rear breaking untill the speed breaker is left with distance of 10m and then front breaks,
If i use only rear breaks to stop or slow down, the what happens is the rear tyre gets lock
when my v2 reach to speed of 20-30kmph so thats the time i divide pressure on both breaks with 30% rear and 70% front.
and that does not lock my rear tyre and stops as best and comfortly.
Same ways if i use only front breaks, what happens is i tend towards front and down due to friction as the shock ups goes down and i feel unstable on seat. i have to settle again on my seat.
i tried this technique on same speed breaker from past 10 days and this is best what i came up with.

I Always wash my tyres twice a week which helps tyres to stick with road while braking.
When the tyres are clean, you can feel the sound when running on highways or straight roads and that makes me very happy.

You are wrong in the way you are using your brakes. There is nothing wrong with your brakes. What's wrong is the way you are using them. Here is a suggestion: go through the chapter on Braking in the book 'A Twist of the Wrist'. It's the bible of sports bike riding.

                  Sorry,
but i never said that their is any fault with my brakes. its just what i realized while braking.
Still i will go through the manual

                  • Few weeks back, I had a worn rear disc pad and it was making noise so I was depending entirely on the front brakes for slowing down and stopping.
I didn't find any problems or lack of braking power.

I had locked up the front brakes many times knowingly (fun) and unknowingly (panic)
And all i have to say is that the bike is super stable under braking. Even during panic lockups the bike didn't lose control.

                    @Princepaji

When using front brakes, ease off the handlebar. don't hold on tight , try this under a safe testing environment-

@80KMPH Grip the tank with your knees, ease off the handlebar, even take off your left hand and squeze the front brake hard.
It won't unsettle you because You're not holding too tight.

                      • First thing you need to do is check the level while the vehicle is upright, if it's on the side stand you will obviously get a false reading. Coolant will go through the breather pipe, also if you have any air locks in the system the level will reduce if they disperse If your warning light isn't coming on, you can top up with more coolant. If you do top up keep the radiator cap open and start the engine, let it idle for around 5-10 mins (to let the thermostat open) then rev the engine a few times for about 1 minute, switch the engine off if you need to add a little more coolant, do so now, then put your rad cap back on and you're good to go (without any air locks). I'm doing this today as my light is coming on, will remove the thermostat and flush the system with a hose pipe, then fill with new coolant.

Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!

Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !

It's not over heating, the orange light is the engine check light, it started glowing because the bike got spilled and something go broke or dislodged, you'll need to check this physically or check with your stealership. No point in cyber speculation, open her up and take a look.

Seriously cant understand what you say I have no warning lights but coolant level dropped. Cant I top up just like that?? And how do you remove thermostat and flush?? Btw where is thermostat
And is coolant level drop normal or got to check something?

                                Disagree with Stefanm
The orange light comes when the bikes falls while the engine is on... It will stay glowing until and unless you stop the engine and start again. Nothing to worry about in this case.
If that orange light is still glowing after you start the engine that means yours bike's one of the sensor is not working.
