One more thing-> when I start my bike after 5-6 hours it idles at 1.4k RPM. Later after driving it for 3-4 mins if I have to stop at a traffic signal, then it idles at 1.2k RPM. Is this behavior normal???
i will be going to sprint SVC on hosur road on saturday (6th apr) for normal wash and chain lube. you can join me on sat. 1 day will not make a difference. but make sure you be there by 8.30 in the morning. if you cant on saturday, then try the perfect riders on friday.

if you can go to Sprint on friday then do meet nandeesh, and tel him i sent you

and about the question about rpm, its normal. when you cold start the engine the rpm is high because the engine will warm up, the ECU controls this mechanism. after the engine is warmed up sufficiently the rpm comes down. if you dont warm up the engine and ride in cold state there might be minor vibes form the engine and FE might drop.

Odo is around 600 kms as of now. Will reach max. around 650 by Friday morning. .I thought of getting her serviced on Friday as it will be the 30th day from the date of purchase plus there will be too much rush on Saturday.Right??
Actually I don't wanna give my bike to perfect riders( Lalbagh road SVC )as I really irritated them for the battery warranty card.... Yeah I can give it in Perfect Riders (Jayanagar SVC) but again I am not sure as to how it is. I even thought of giving it in Orion Motors SVC in Koramangala but then many people weren't happy after getting their bike serviced there.

Sprint is even close to my office.. They are good.. right??.Definitely I will give your reference . Normally how much time is consumed in the whole service procedure.I gotta mail my manager accordingly .
Anything special that I should keep in mind??
One last noob question: Do i still need to adhere to the run- in procedure for another 500-600 kms or can i start ripping after the first service itself??( FYI I never crossed 5.2-5.3 K RPM till date).

This is normal but since you are going to service center warm up your bike and tell those guys to adjust the Idle RPM(1350-1400).
Stand near the bike while it is getting serviced. I enjoy that a lot.
And make sure you make good relation with those mechanics as they will be helping you throughout the lifetime of your baby.

+1 for the last line, but I fail to understand how can one alter the AFR/idling in an FI bike!

          • Hi All,

Same here! I got my servicing on 8th of April. Do I need to include anything else in the list:

            1. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Change
            2. Coolant level check
            3. Chain clean and lubing.
            4. Wash

Anything else needs to be included in the list?

There will be rush everywhere on saturday. and even on friday. thats why you have to go early. my bike had done 250kms during my 1st service lol you can go on 31st day and tel you were out of station on previous day lol. no issues there.

Actually I don't wanna give my bike to perfect riders( Lalbagh road SVC )as I really irritated them for the battery warranty card.... i have been to jayanagar one during my first 2 service, was kinda ok service.

Sprint is even close to my office.. They are good.. right??.Definitely I will give your reference . Normally how much time is consumed in the whole service procedure.I gotta mail my manager accordingly .
i have had good service from them. i am satisfied like 95%. the service actually gets over in 1.5-2 hours. but depends on what time you arrive and give your bike if you come little late and you bike is 10th bike then your bike will be serviced after the 9th bike which is common everywhere. last time i went at 9.30 and i did golmaal and got mine serviced there in 1 n half hours and was grinning while going back to office by 11.30 :P tell you manager it will take half day for safe side. if want to go early then leave the bike and go back and collect later in the evening .

Anything special that I should keep in mind??
The bike comes with SS oil yamalube form the factory. so tell the SVC guys for oil change. they wont ask which oil since its obvious. if they ask then tell them SS yamalube engine oil. Change the oil filter too. chain lube, air filter cleaning, minor adjustments if needed.

One last noob question: Do i still need to adhere to the run- in procedure for another 500-600 kms or can i start ripping after the first service itself??( FYI I never crossed 5.2-5.3 K RPM till date)
Yes is advisable to do so. do it till 1k kms. after all you will have many kms ahead to ripp i think its ok to take it to 7k rpm after the service, no issues in that. but it should be gradual and not sudden bursts.

              .
              replies in bold.

                    Hey,
Here is one artical on the same from our fellow xbhp'an.

btw your signature is a lot informative/helpful buddy.

                    @ Harish,

                    2. Coolant level check.
Make sure they do not overfill the coolant and the cap is closed properly .mine was overfilled and was dripping off for 2-3 after service.
                    3. Chain clean and lubing.
this method of chain lubin all service center ppl use. LUBING FROM BEHIND THAT MEANS DIRECTLY ON SPROCKET.(it makes all sprocket lubbed and catches lots of dust)
Do not allow them to lube your chain this way. Proper way is to lube through area near clutch peddle where you can see chain.
                    4. Wash
very important DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO PUT PRESSURE WATER ON RADIATOR FANS.

                        • As the noise from valves were bothering,
went to Svc and they tighten the Exhaust valve and now the tappet sound is more and still the valve noise is present. I called Svc manager and informed, he asked me to bring it again to svc.
what i think is that intake valve is culprit because when i accelerate my V2 at that time only the sound comes and after that is gets vanish.
the exhaust valve is checked with the gauge .20mm
the intake valve is checked with the gauge .10mm.

tnnnnnnn is bothering me. anyone who has idea about my problem or about valves can share some experience.
                          I need it

Apparently the fan runs only when the engine is stressed- either after continuous high RPM operation or in traffic. I for one, have never heard the fan running from the time I got my motorcycle [an year and half]
