Free service does not mean that they will do everything for free. they will not put the labour charge thats all.

Oil will cost around 550 Rs i guess. Oil filter around 150, chain lube might be around 100-130 Rs. consumables (like grease or other oils ) will cost 30-40Rs. and add TAX to it.
(These prices were wild guesses as it might differ in different states/SVC)
FYI Shubham was at sprint on saturday for 1st service, his bill was 850 Rs. Oil, oil filter, wash, lube, consumables.

So i didn't replace that as I was shifting to Pune and wanted to try out here.
Cheked in one svc and the story was same. But later went to YFS,Pune and they told me it's under warranty and changed the sensor immediately.

So I would suggest, check in YFS,Mumbai as others SVCs are always reluctant when it comes to replacing part and any warranty issue.
YFC is closed from where i bought my bike.

No idea...Hopefully its shifted to some other location...but currently no such official news.
So now the thing which i might do is get the work done by them on 15th as the sensors will com and then ask Yamaha India regarding this issue asking them whether it is under warranty or not.

today customer care of yamaha called me and they were asking the issue.
They will take feed back from SVC and call me back.
Looks like i will be charged for sensor.

            2) Oil Filter - Rs 167

These two changes are primary and should be done in first service

            Now,

These are optional, can be rejected as in done at home.

            1) Chain cleaning and Lubing Rs 150 (this is pune price, check in your area)

Apart from this, some SVC adds a monetary charge of coolant top up which is ABSOLUTELY NOT REQUIRED SINCE ITS YOUR FIRST SERVICE. Consider additional Rs 100 to Rs 150 for this top up.

My suggestion is ask them to give you a accurate list of what is going to be used in your bike that is going to be charged, very easy process! The first two points, engine oil and oil filter are mandatory, rest should not be an issue.

Cleaning is free and included in the service coupon, if they disagree show them the coupon present in the manual, turn the page and see those mentioned points. Tell them to give you another date for washing the vehicle in the current week itself. Please be present through out the servicing, let the procedure take place in front of you so that you are doubt free, meanwhile understand how oil is replaced and other important servicing details.
            Hope this helps.
            Thanks alot bro!

Don't panic! Free service means they won't charge you for labor and washing that's it.
                Else all countable to customer!

Check your service leaf for better understanding and get all done.

                • @Ron: I can feel the difference only recently, so there is no wear in the tread as of now, but i can see the road/mud marks falling only towards one side partially. That was the cause for my concern. Anyway as you say i feel feedback of moving one sided only when i brake sometime. Lets see, i have given my bike for checking. According to manual what is the service duration for the forks? Any idea?

                    • To Cool mafia

You can save money with getting a Rolon chain lube for Rs 140 which is best and long lasting said by Svc guys and i am using that from my first service
*1 bottle can be used Minimum three times for lubing.
+ Purchase the coolant for rs 330 which is 1 liter, because Svc charge a lot for filling it up.This way you have to invest 470 and from next time you will be charged for only oil and oil filter.
Coolant can save you money untill next 3-5 service as its 1ltr

                      • Friends i got my baby today after her first service.Everything seems fine. She's smooth. But i think clutch is tightned and more hard than before. And WORST part to tell you all guys is that when we give our bike for service then they ask for service book.I submitted my service book to them. They told me to collect it after servicing. Then later i went to collect my bike. And paid bill of rs 890.After that i was shocked.Because when i went to collect my service book.It was lost by them.I personally checked the baskets in which all Service books were kept. But mine was not found.I was angry and unhappy like anything. They apologized me for this situation and told me that they gave my service book to other r15 owner by mistake. They told me,dont worry,we will give it to me safely tommorow.I love YAMAHA and will love forever. But such idiot staff and employees are responsible to unsatisfy and make unhappy to customers. Will call that employee tommorow.

                        • Did a self check for the engine oil today. Was a bit baffled because the dipstick in the manual is a bit different than the one on the motorcycle. The lower end is completely 'marked' as opposed to the one given in manual. Hence , there is no way to know the minimum limit. The oil drop was present on the marking though, is the level normal?

                            • Guys am worried about my radiator fan.. It's 35+ degrees in chennai and I ride 28 km straight at 80kmph avg with few bursts to 100+ and Few traffic spots in between where I have to slow down and ride in low gear for 5km approx..Even after this I can't hear my radiator fan running... I know many of you have not heard the fan running for 1 year + but is it under the above conditions?? My engine sound changes after this ride due to heat but I can't feel any heat in the fairing when touched as someone said in writer posts.. Plz reply should I tell it to SVC or is it normal?? Am gng to give for second service Tom.. That's why am asking

As long as you are not getting engine overheat indication, your cooling system is working fine.
