Cheaper options- KTM Duke 200 lines or many Indonesian options

No. Rear line is a too little too long for R15 and the front is never the same. Get P220 front lines for R15. It should do it. And rear, some mech could make it suit taking the duke 200 one. Not sure.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostDuke 200 lines direct fit for R15??Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Why do you want to change the stock brake lines?Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostAnd guys HEL quoting 5700 for stell braided brake lines (front and back) Is it worth spending that much on brake line??
You are just going to reach the second service period but already finding the stock brake lines, not effective?
P.S: I know the HEL brake line is better that stock.Rx is a Phoenix!!! It always rise from ashes!!

Yes... Front is good, but it lacks the bite of 200NS which i drove. So i think steel braided lines will give me that sharp bite And Rear, poor. It just slows down my bike a little,That's itOriginally posted by dpak89 View PostWhy do you want to change the stock brake lines?

Pads are good and no leaks. So i think that's the stopping power it can generate. May be i can improve it a bit by giving it steel lines..
Cheers

I get a vibe that instead of going for upgrades, you may wanna check your brakes. R15 brakes are pretty precise and class leading.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostYes... All checked,Pads,oil,leaks...etc Front is like all R15 I rode. So leave that. Rear brake is the problem. Only thing left to try with the rear brake is bleeding. Will try that before upgrading.Originally posted by Juris View PostI get a vibe that instead of going for upgrades, you may wanna check your brakes. R15 brakes are pretty precise and class leading.
Went for second free service today and told them about rear brake and squeaking sound in rear brake.. Now sound is gone but braking is near nil now
I think it's due to oil in discs. Will check after riding fr 20km

I have almost not used rear at all, unless to stop the bike from <10kmph at some traffic signal. I guess most of them do so. Front one is good in bite. Anyway if you feel that you want a much better effect, then all the best for your project!Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostYes... When you ride on highways in higher gears and higher speed the radiator and engine gets proper flow of air, and thus lesser chance of fan getting on, the fan to go on there has to be solid ripping :P of the bike in traffic, now who would know better then me on this :P lol. if at all you dont find this normal i guess you have freedom to visit the SVCOriginally posted by siddharthsure View PostGuys am worried about my radiator fan.. It's 35+ degrees in chennai and I ride 28 km straight at 80kmph avg with few bursts to 100+ and Few traffic spots in between where I have to slow down and ride in low gear for 5km approx..Even after this I can't hear my radiator fan running... I know many of you have not heard the fan running for 1 year + but is it under the above conditions?? My engine sound changes after this ride due to heat but I can't feel any heat in the fairing when touched as someone said in writer posts.. Plz reply should I tell it to SVC or is it normal?? Am gng to give for second service Tom.. That's why am asking
Yes there is significance change of engine note when engine gets warmed up, you will face a smoother engine and also lesser vibes. the note is music to hearOriginally posted by siddharthsure View PostDai!!!!! +100 on this. if you have good knowledge of how to use r15 brakes effectively then you will know its the best. make the bike behave the way you want it to and not give in to the bikeOriginally posted by TeeJayy View Post+1 to Juris and dpak. R15 has one of the best front brakes in the Indian market today. Who better can testify this other than the one who has moved on from the R15 to the CBR

Seems there is lot of complain/confusion about braking of R15. As many of us said, it surely has a great barking power at least in the Front.
But main thing is the technique of how you make the most of Front and Rear brake combination.
Please refer to the posts of this thread. Not just the 1st post, if possible, go through the entire thread. You'll learn a lot about effective braking.

Bleeding does help. I would recommend to bleed both the brakes once with Dot4(if not done earlier) and see the change. And than decide whether you need upgrades.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostAll checked,Pads,oil,leaks...etc Front is like all R15 I rode. So leave that. Rear brake is the problem.
