To me your symptoms sound like you spark plug cap maybe faulty, it's a part that goes bad quite often on this bike, mine had first gone bad at around 3.5k kms and again at 10k kms. Changing the head gasket is not such a big job if necessary, only you will need coolant along with the gasket.

Oh yeah, try not to use the bike until you find and solve the problem.
Cool!! Will check it out. I haven't seen any white smoke(not 100% sure) and cant find any milky residue in dip stick( maybe i dont know how it will be ). Will check it out tomorrow,if not satisfied will drain oil and check. btw what is spark plug cap?? And how can a cap create a problem?? And i cant remove radiator cap to check for bubbling. I can loosen it fully but still its not coming out

    • ^^ Bubbling you check around the cylinder head, the spark plug cap is what fits on your spark plug (all the power that goes to your spark plug to ignite the fuel goes through this, after travelling down the HT lead/spark plug wire, do not hold this while pressing the ignition switch, it will hurt!), when these go bad, they can cause misfires, poor starting and random stalling from my experience.

Take the time to familiarise yourself with as much as you can with the bike, most things are not so complex after a while.

No white smoke and no bubbling around cylinder head. Btw i inspected with fairing so i dont know whether this is correct.. And i opened the radiator cap and found that coolant level is bit below the tube ( rubber tube which connects near the radiator cap ) so there was no bubbling when i switched on the engine. Should it be above that tube??

        Thank you for you replies

            • Hi Fellow Riders, I would request for your expert opinion and advice on the issue I am facing on my bike for the last 2 days.
From yesterday morning, all of a sudden my bike's handle started to wobble a bit. At low speeds, the bike seems to tilt towards right. Even at moderate speeds, i can feel that the handle is tilting a bit to the right and the bike swirls slightly.
I have not had any collisions or falls in last one year or so. Plus, the bike was running fine till now. The only thing done to my bike by my mechanic was to check and tighten the Mounting Bolts few days back. Perhaps, he has over-tightened the mounting bolts, but is it supposed to hamper the handle like this...?
Please shed some light in this regard....

You don't have any symptoms for one and only 3000 km's for another.

                • Hello Friends,
i have came to a verdict.
R15 engine is not as rigid as it is said.
Specially for the riders who are very much into hard riding.
                  This is my first yamaha,
After following each and every run in period rules, taking every measure.
Still what i get is Noise from every part of engine, and it was said to be the butter smooth machine.
I am very much into maintainance, i love keeping every bit of my bike with top condition, but still i am not happy after 4200kms and 6 months of my V2.
after spending 1.32lakh, this what i have to say.

                  Apart from that.
I am happy with its looks which in nothing less that Ninja 250. I like more than ninja in style.
Performance is lost on top end.
                  Either my expectation is more.
Sorry guys, i cannot listen these words for my V2 from anyone else but this is what i have gone through.

Svcs are hopeless, never allow any random mechanic to work on your bike in Svcs as their 70% of them dont know relation between a valve clearance and tappet adjustment.
Ask the manager to get you the best mechanic who is trained for V2.

                    Strange.

Which bike you were riding before V2 ?
What and all you tried to fix the engine noises ?

No da.. Bad luck a pshyco women rider crossed suddenly with her Scotty. I was doing a good 70kmph and i didnt get a sec to react to that. Just crashed and went flying, my ride switched herself off immediately thus not rolling over me. Felt so bad to look at my babe like that lying down that women had head injury and shes alright and i escaped with minor scratches as i was wearing a helmet. Damage fork bent( should replace), Front rim crack, headlight doom and right hand side fairing.. Cant move it,brought it home in tata ace.Such a bad day, i felt like thrashing her but already she was injured :/

Edit: She cranks and revs fine though

                              • I almost hit a guy few days back.
Me @ 90, leading the pack on my side of the four line.
He- Started to cross the road, kept on coming forward, i was honking and maintained same speed, because i thought either he will let me go or he will cross fast.
This guy kept on crossing looking towards the other side of the road. (Yes it is 4line)
I came close & still this guy is looking @ the other side and then i realized this "great"hole is on earphones. enjoying his music and should be staring @ some girl.
I had no doubts in my mind, i was going to pass him in front of him. cos if i aim for back and he sees me in-between he will jump back or stand still and i'll hit for sure.
I leaned the bike @ same speed and took it in front of him. and as i pass him he got the reflex of his lifetime jumped back. he he

Hope he is alright and more careful on road.
Later my pillion told me that that guy had looked @ the side from where we were coming but I was way back @ that time. And he must have thought he could pass before. (He should have been listening to some very slow songs )
