I was told this happens because of both hard braking and potholes.

I checked the nut and the cone set the ring like thing has a cut and both of them are facing the tank but slightly towards the left. So is that right?

And can this issue cause the handle to pull towards left while applying front brakes?

120 kms under reserve really ? the reserve starts flashing when there's 1.9 litres of petrol left in the tank...so at 45 kmpl, that's at most about 90 kms under reserve..to do 120 kms or 180 kms, people need to have about 60 kmpl or 90 kmpl, which is not possible, no ? unless i am missing something obvious.

i get somewhere between 35-39 in non-highway rides...in good highways, i get 40-45 kmpl...

of course, this despite the fact that i (and many other riders here) rip my R15...yet such a mileage in general..

however, at least in my case, i goes below 35 kmpl if i have done full throttling a good deal...any ride where i have full throttled it for several minutes, i have seen the mileage drastically drops to below 35 kmpl :\

Yes I guess it displays F- way before 2l. Just a safety feature I guess to save the pump. I enquired all my friends and many have done more than 120

Btw I shift at 7k rpm usually but no hard acceleration and will do 90+ most of the times. Still geting 45kmpl

Has anyone tried the Via Terra Claw on R15? Can it be properly mounted on this bike?

I remember saquib3005 posting review about claw on R15; pulling out posts by him on this thread may help you.

Got my front brake lines changed to steel lines as did by you . Had bought the cable from bajaj svc on friday but unfortunately cyclone struck odisha the very next day so put my plans on hold for the next two days:banghead:
Was free from office today so did it at home myself took about 20 mins to complete it it was a direct fit as described by you but what I felt was the braking improved drastically even with worn out pads the bike stops better than the previous cable may be the rubber hose was past its best ( my bike is 2 years old ran 34k kms and seen 1 major crash ) so overall I think is its a must for all r15 owners who are thinking about replacing the front brake cable (manual recommends to change the hose every 2 years) performance I think should be on par with HEL brake lines cant say for sure but much better than stock..
Cheers

Hello, I am getting some problem with chain, i take care of chain, lube it whenever it needs like 500kms, now when i ride my bike, the bike feels tight on some part, i feel vibrations on foot rest, i check it and found that chain is tight on some part and loose on some part.....lubed it and loosen the chain,,,,,but it needs more to be loosen.....its not in original condition.....local mechenic says the chain needs replacement (its bend on some part like it has got stuck. i think if i clean the chain with diesel properly by taking out from sprocket and lube it properly. it would be ok....otherwise what else can be done.....and what is price for new chain set?
help

what do you mean when you say that your bike feels tight on some parts ? like bad throttle response or the feel of the rear wheel drive being harsh/not-so-nice-as-before or something like that ?

I guess the vehicle was unused for quite sometime which has lead to the formation of rust and which can be removed by diesel washing and lubing. Brush the whole of chain with an old tooth brush using a degreasing solvent of diesel and lube it and it must be fine. Replacing the whole chain set would make your pockets way lighter!!

Hey guys.. Sorry for asking a noob question.. Tried to search but couldn't find my query..
At what interval/duration is the coolant to be topped-up or replaced..?
The ride is over a year now and i don't think the coolant has even been filled or been checked by the svc..

Ride safe and have fun.
Regards

Replacement is done at 10000 or 12000kms and not sure 10k or 12k. Top up is done at every service you get done at a ASC!

Depends. My bike came new with the coolant near the low level, topped it once, haven't had the need to top it since > 1 year.

The SVC guys should check the level every service but you can't depend on them. You can easily check it yourself: on the left side of the bike with your knees on the ground look beneath the frame you will notice a white plastic coolant reservoir just behind the frame with the coolant level markings on it.
