I am really depressed because of what happened to my bike ... My bike's wiring system was spoiled by rats when I was out of town ...
I came back home and I tried to start the engine and I saw that engine light was glowing and was really upset.. Went through the manual and unscrewed the bikes tank.. What I saw was so upsetting..
The inject line wire were completely chewed by the rats
and few other wires as well... I didn't go further digging in and called the show room guys to take a look and most probably today they might come to my place to check on that..
And I was able to see that one more wire running towards the engine was also chewed by rat.. I am really feeling bad..
So can you guys help me to fix my bike not sure if anything went wrong

Hello Guys, I got my bike back.. Thanks to the R15 Mech who just did an economical Job.. By repairing the wiring Kit... The Mech name is Saran.. He works the R15 mech in the SVC. And the charged me 650 /-.. And the ride was back with its coolness.. I Just rode the bike for 140 Kms and it was fine.. And then on this sunday went for a Road trip. and then something bad happened.. I went to a reserve forest area and while returning back. I was little sporty that I reved my bike to 130's and while cornering when in 90's the Engine was cut off. and the Engine light started to glow.. Pulled off.. and then called the Mech again from that place to have a check.
..The problem was again with the inject assembly which he fixed ...Now my mind is revolving around this... Shall I change the inject assembly or can I go with the mech's fix..? But my instinct says change the inject assembly.. So that I can take my ride for long road trips.... Your opinion guys ..??

Hi
I am thinking of selling my R15 v2 (5 months old with 3.3k on odo) as I am upgrading to a higher cc bike. I am sure that some of you here who would have purchased a second hand bike or might have sold their own. So just wanted to know as to what all documents are required to transfer the ownership? What are the expenses involved? & who bears the expense of those documents? BTW I will be selling it through OLX..( Basically not through those second hand bike dealers)

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Hello riders
Today got the bikes first servicing done
When pressing the rear break the tail light was not lighting up
Informed this to the Mec
He said he was change the setting
He worked in a black screw behing the right foot peg and was able to lit the light
But while riding back home noticed that the bike has to bloody rear break
I can feel the hardness when I break but I don't see the bike stopping at all with the rear break
Just save my self from crashing in to a bus when I hit the brakes first
I though It could be coz of wet disk pads but rode for 40 km and still the same feel
Need help guys

usually just after the service the brakes dont work 100% . was there anything else dont to the rear brake? if the thing still persists then have it checked.Originally posted by zawarester View PostHello riders

BTW you will have to learn the art of braking in the r15. the rear is not as effective as the front, does not mean that rear is not 100% working. the rear wheel is getting constant force form the engine to be driven, so when you apply rear brake its opposing the force form the engine, which makes it look like its working less effective. but its different in the case of front. use the front brake to stabilize your overall braking.'On the Road that never ends...'

There is a black nut behind the ride right foot peg he unscrewed that nut made it loose and kept it that way
That's all he did to it

Re: Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 Wiring damaged
You will be better off changing the entire wiring harness. It is one stop and permanent solution. Been in your boat 3 years ago. Because of faulty wiring harness, I had to changed the coolant temperature sensor umpteen times(because of the short circuit, coolant temp. sensor use to go kaput). Didn't want to change the harness but after n no. of trials to trace the loose end, I figured out changing the harness is way to go.Originally posted by Royalz R15 View PostHello Guys, I got my bike back.. Re: Hi
which higher cc bike you are upgrading to ? and also, if you dont mind me asking, why buy a bike if only after 5 months of riding it you want to change it (unless it caused you a lot of problems and you weren't enjoying it) ? could have bought that higher CC bike 5 months ago too (or waited for it to be launched if it was not available back then) :-)Originally posted by Shubham@bikez View PostI am thinking of selling my R15 v2 (5 months old with 3.3k on odo) as I am upgrading to a higher cc bike. Thanks a lot Juris. The main part that was damaged badly was the Injector assembly.. The rat chewed till the socket end. And again yesterday I took my bike to the service station. And to have a permanent fix they asked me to change the injector assembly. Today I would be visiting perfect riders in Bangalore for the Injector assembly part and take their suggestion as well. And Can you please let me how much was the Wiring harness??If she changes her oil more than she changes her mind follow her
