@Ron Syl thank you. Your post pretty much summed it up for everyone
This a very capable machine, it can do things that you wouldn't expect from a 150cc bike. Though it cannot be as comfortable in touring as you would want it to be, once you start riding, you will get used to it and it will matter little. I'm just around a 100kms away from getting the first service done(probably in a couple of days or so). I will be replacing the left headlamp with Osram NB. Will post a review on it later. Also one more thing, the r15 does handle bad roads reasonably well, that was quite a surprise

crossed 14k on ODO last week wish if i had done this on my first r15v2 so my total kms comes up to 18k kms on r15v2! around 12k kms are done in touring nothing much to complain about, bike is still virgin (read as Stock) :P have changed only brake pads and sparkplug.

OT: please avoid SMS lingo, its against the forum rules.

• Spirited riders invited

Any cornering junkies in Delhi/NCR?
Guys who are (very) fast, have read atleast one book on cornering or attended a riding school, can think, know what riding at 90% means, have good judgement & excellent street riding skills.

I say why not we meet up? Check out the good riding locations in Delhi and do some cornering! :-)

(Note: This invitation is not just for those riding a R15, koi bhi sport bike chalega.)

Guys.. If the front rim has to be changed. Does that mean the also the disc has to be changed ?
My bro's has a bent rim due to a masty fall.. He's riding it that way for sometime, but its not as stable as it should be.. So its to be replaced this month or next at the most.. So need to know this

If the disc is bend in any way, you will certainly know it once you apply the brakes. As far as you arent feeling it, why change it . Ride on. But change the bend rim asap. It will spoil the handling..
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

The disc is fine.. But the rim has a dent.. Will get it changed soon..

i dont think so. since you can replace the Disc, you can even unmount it and replace only he rims.

Will confirm this before hand..
The price was of rim quoted at something around 3500rs..
So waiting for the budget..

Can somebody tell me how much the front stock braking system might cost? I hard brake every now and then and the efficiency has dropped so planning to get the whole system replaced which might help me.
I need the price of disc plate and caliper.

I don't think thats necessary.. Just replaced the pads.. And go for steel-braided brake lines.. That sgoyld do just fine..
If you have the $$, then get HEL brake lines.. They are for 7500rs (front+rear) and use DOT 4 brake fluid with it..

Ride safe and have fun.

nadz11.ns As long as the disc is not bent and brakes effectively, there is no need to change it. Just get the rim fixed.

OMG!! 7.5k just for brake lines?? Thats too much
And I do not get the idea of efficiency improvement in braking when brake lines are changed? I remember another member posting about it. I guess it was Ivin who spoke about steel braided brake lines of P220 on R15.

Thats why I said if you have the money.. Hehe
Else you can use p220's lines.. Google the benefits of steel braided lines..
Simply put.. The rubber lines tend to show pressure loss with time which decreases the performance.. While thats not the case in steel braided lines..

Fourth ,I know everyone loves their Mc,no matter it's a car ,bike or even a private jet,but people also have something called resistance and acceptance, to accept what their mc lacks, they should not be stubborn or step down to their real level of personality when told so,like many here did, and the 300cc thing was that ki the way this beauty r15 is designed and given cornering abilities, that kind of awesomeness is not justified by that 150cc engine,it's like riding a heavily modified faired version without the actual juice it should be having( again those r15 worshippers, take this line as reference not in exact words)
National tracking, yeah I know it corners way better than any sub 2 lac bike but being a go kart maker ( college team came 9th in all India go kart mechanical championship ) I know how our national tracks are, speeds of max 80 are extreme for them..
And when spending 1.27lacs it's my mc and my money,so I can #bytch wherever I like,,,,

Someone just gave you some advice based on your writing... I can see from your reaction that you think everyone is criticizing you, but the fact is you are being over reactive. You are new to this forum, so here is my sincere advice to you; chill, get to know people and the forum before you quick draw the gun. Neither I nor most of these guys know you personally and I can assure you that no one has anything against you personally.

Now coming to your claim of the national tracks being of poor design, factually; not true. Group B R15s have been measured to reach 145 - 150 kmph (true speed) at Chennai, 165 - 170 kmph (again true speed) at the Kari Speedway and the Buddh Circuit. So please talk facts and not hyperbole just for the sake of wining arguments.
