I have 4 questions.

1.Can go for a higher wattage more powerful bulb? (I need much more light)

2.If yes , please suggest which to go for. A very noob question, can I use 4300K bulbs without ballast?

3.Is 4300K a plug n play or do I need a whole setup.

Also it should not be a bomb on the pocket as its month end.

4.Also can I get any of these in and aournd whitefeild bangalore?
Even I am a noob in lighting but can tell you whatever I know!
1. You can go for higher wattage bulb by Phillips or Osram night breaker both of which are excellent on highways.
2. I guess you are speaking about the HID bulb if yes then you cannot use HID bulb or a kit without projectors as the light reflects and spreads wider affecting the traffic which is why it is banned by government. (This is what I came to know after going through a topic exclusively about lighting)

Got the registration of my bike done today. Now I can go for some longer rides without worries.

@Yashas Rl but are those lights safe to use with stock battery? The stock bulbs are 35+35=70W. If you use NB or extreme those are 60w each right?
They will be 120 W just for the lights. Will it not drain the battery quickly?

Unsure about the battery consumption and the wattage of NB but one of my friend had got NB and other Phillips and both of them had no issues. Only thing is that Phillips is little expensive and lights for lesser hours comparatively!

yes the only negative thing about the R15 is the pretty much useless headlights...i can't see shit in the dark with those lights...the light is directed way upwards when it's in "upper", rendering it completely useless for the rider..the "dipper" is still decent for low or moderate speed riding...

well at least it's bright enough that other people can see there's a certain bike on the road.

If the beam is directed upwards.. You can change that setting yourself.. Exactly at the back side of headlight, you will find a nut type thing, one on each side.. Turm them to make the beam upwards or downwards..

Ride safe and have fun.

Adjusting the headlight will be of some help but the stock bulbs arent quite that good. We do need some aftermarket lamps if we are to go on long rides in pitch black darkness.

Ya, i know.. Stock is not up to the marks.. Using philips nightvision or similar can help a lot in this regard..

Am using night breaker...... Drastic improvement from stock. Improved beam spread, more brighter and whiter light... Sometimes mine is brighter than cars btw am using only on left side... So low beam will be just 55w and high will be 55+35w.. Using high beam only in highways just to be safe... No problems till now. And not using headlights when engine is turned off.. I guess even 35w will drain the puny battery in minutes if headlight is turned on without turning on the engine..

siddharthsure where did you get the osram NB in Chennai? And at what price? Turning on the keys without running the engine for a long time will drain you battery quickly. So its best advised to turn off the key if the engine is not running.

Hey guys I have brought daytona dagrex exhaust for v2.0 and did not do any alterations.
The bike misfires on idling and it misses sort of power what should be the solution

Are you using only the exhaust and none of the associated parts? If yes, then check your valve clearances. Make sure they are set to factory recommended clearances.

Note: valve clearances checking and setting should be done on a cold engine.

Yaah I am using only the exhaust , should I do any ECU remapping or should buy daytona ECU .
I checked refitting stock exhaust after daytona dagrex but there is no misfiring and power was also good what could be the problem.

There is no way to remap a stock ECU. As I said before, check the valve clearances. Also check the plug for any signs of leanness in the AFR (although its only a indicator not the final word on the issue). The popping and back firing can also happen if the AFR is running too lean or rich. In this case it is highly unlikely that the AFR is rich, therefore the possibilities are that its running lean. If that is so then you may have to use the Daytona ECU.

Are you using the exhaust that comes with the daytona kit for R15? I heard its not worth to get those.
