  • Thanks for the advice abhimanyu I will check out once

Firstly I thought of fitting k&n but due to many considerations thought of removing the idea as yamaha mechanic should me the cylinder head which is fitted with k&n there are dust products
Then after approaching many riders fitted with daytona kit I came to the decision of fitting exhaust as it would decrease the back pressure.

Months after, I come back here and people are still discussing head lamps. .
I have three friends who got daytona fitted <exhaust only> and none had to do any additional set up, the advantage of going for exhaust alone is debatable and thus a separate thread.
K&N is not a worthy deal for v2. As Abhimanyu suggested, get the engine tuned, should suffice.

      cheers.

      For oldies.
completed 30K, racing bearings changed for second time, got the injection cleaned and someone ripped off my 50 anniversary logo <finally>.

Hey guys wanted to buy good projector lights with angel eyes at affordable price, can you guys suggest me one.
R&d motovil sells one projector for around 8800 which comes around 17k for two which way to costly.

Yup, that can happen. I ride with my headlights on. Sometime back i had a problem with the bike, after starting the motor the bike wasn't idling correctly. Then i realized that the problem only occured when i switched on the headlight during idling. At the time i wasn't riding much just doing short trips to run errands, so the battery wasn't getting properly charged.

Its time to get the coolant changed and get the brakes overhauled on my bike.
So, went to the SVC (JM Motors) to get it done only to find out that don't have the copper washer for the drain bolt which is supposed to be replaced when changing the coolant.

As if that wasn't bad enough get a load of this: they also don't have brake piston seals in stock, the head mechanic doesn't even know that the brakes need an overhaul every 2 years, according to him the seals never need to be replaced.

Even more surprises: they don't have any o-ring's or things like cylinder head gaskets.

These things never get replaced unless something goes bust in which case upon the customers request they might place an order for the parts!

This is one of the better service service centers in the part of Delhi that i live in.
I doubt if complaining to Yamaha will serve any purpose, for all you know this is probably part of their strategy (planned obsolescence).

Are there any independent service centers in Delhi that can do a proper job?

Is the Yamaha SVC 'Delhi Scooters' in Rajouri Garden any good? That's my last hope.

yeah, just within 2 services that i have had so far, by talking with them i have come to realise that the SVC people dont really give a shit about the idea of general maintenance or timely replacements unless something's visibly broken or the owner explicitly faces some problem...

If you know something is wrong and needs to be replaced, get it changed.. Don't change your mind hearing the svc mech saying it fine..
svc's follow the rule..'don't fix unless broken'
And they would always want to take a side from opening anything..

Guys brought a r15 blue edition(top) for my cousion and also tested a very brand new too,I liked the short gearing ,it was like the angular movement of 1 gear of ns was equal to 2.5 gears of r15 but power.....IT WAS HOLY CRAPPPPP. I was stunned to see that ,without a pillion ,I ripped hard the r15 And the feel of power was even lower than p180 And a little bit higher than 150... I was shocked to notice the difference of 6.5 bhp by that amount..it was like the same difference between a splendor and a hunk. ..thank God I didn't brought a r15 3months ago ( even I was sitting with 1.25 lacs in a Yamaha showroom) ,ymaha should seriously make 300cc r15 ,it is full discrimination with the machine providing it such a crappy power engine.although for my little brother,it was the dream bike.hehehe, I will be using it to get new girls...but to feel raw power ,it is not the bike.

200cc sized 23.5 bump of raw power..!!

Hmm, on the Yamaha site they have listed only one 'yamaha pro' SVC in Mohan co-op industrial area on Mathura road. This one must be different.

Have you got your bike serviced from them?

Also, do you have their address by any chance?

true man, for taller riders (im 5'11) r15 isn't a fun bike to sit on, looks funny, feels funny. But we can't complain. For us tallers riders it is simply not in our destiny to fully enjoy this purpose built machine .. mini r6
