While hot rodding, BEWARE ,this isn't like replacing a small thing with big thing without any consequences. Maximum person who have indulged in power mods will ultimately tell you Not to go for it and instead, buy a bigger powered bike.
And about Race concepts. You should check a threat named " powerhouse fz18" here on xbhp. You'll get to know hell LOT of things about Race concepts. I won't tell you, you have to read that thread and make your own opinion. And please, do a lot of research before jumping into modding else in the end, there are high chances that you'll end up with a 40k plus Bill and a blown up bike.

Don't try to fix me, I'm broke so I don't work
So are you, but you're broke 'cause you don't work

I've already gone through the whole thread of "powerhouse fz-18", that's why I have never considered going ahead with Race Concepts or Race Dynamics as an option, I've heard about their poor customer support, unreliability etc. etc. and a lot of unsatisfied people with blown crankshafts and stuff, statistically speaking as per my observations, very few people have had "little" or "no" problems with mods from Race Concepts/ Race Dynamics.

For the more complicated things like crankshafts/ECU, I'm going with whatever Yamaha themselves can offer, as for other things, like OEM air filters and exhausts, I'm going with products specially made for the R15, and YES I have done my research and calculations regarding usage of different after-market parts, so that they are synchronized and can produce the highest power output possible without harming the engine or anything else on the bike. Abhimanyu sir has helped me a lot and answered a lot of my questions, so all credit goes to him.

I'll keep everyone posted about the mods carried out and detailed explanations of every After-market parts used.
But, like you said, it's definitely better to go ahead with a more powerful bike, I'm just in love with my baby R1 and I want to experiment, that's why I'm doing this, I do have plans to buy the KTM RC 390 once it's launched, but till then I hope to get at least a 2 bhp gain after all these mods on my R15.

Yamaha does have plans to launch the R15 V3, although it's not official, it came from the same sources that once said "Yamaha plans to launch R15 V2", the sources say, the R15 V3 is supposed to be launched during the festive season (Durga Puja or Diwali), I myself asked about this rumour at a Yamaha showroom, they didn't give any details but they did take down my name and contact info, which means it is very much possible that a V3 will be launched, the sources say there won't be much changes on the bike except for a little more powerful ECU to increase the bhp and torque by 1 to 1.5.

My advice to you: if you're on a tight budget then hold on a couple of more months, there are many many new performance-oriented bikes that will be launched by the end of this year, if you can stretch your budget a little more then you can go for the R25 which is supposed to be launched at the beginning of next year, otherwise if you have a passion/craving only for the R15, then you can buy the V2 itself or you can wait 3-4 months for the V3 to be launched.

Bottomline, if you can patiently wait till next year, you will definitely find a better bike than the R15, in that price range.
        Best of Luck!!

Thanx for the info, but 3.90 lacks for an r25 is way out of my budget so would be staying at r15.

Could someone suggest me over this? The thing is, I got my bike serviced last time on 2nd of February. Now it completes 70 days and according to the manual, a servicing is due. But I have ridden just about 1,700 km since 2nd Feb. Should I change the engine oil anyways?

What oil are you using?? If i am not wrong, the bike has to be serviced at an interval of 60 days.

                  Cheerz!!

I'm sticking to Yamalube since the beginning. The manual states 70 days or 3000km whichever is earlier

The oil should be good enough till 2500kms. If you are facing roughness in the engine, get your bike serviced and change the oil along with oil filter.

You have to get the free service done in specified interval or it will get lapsed. Just tell the svc guy to not to change the oil and oil filter and perform regular service on the bike.

I'm over with all the free services. Even the coupons for paid service are now exhausted

To the One going with yammy aftermarket products.
Its good that you're enthusiastic about your baby, but yamaha has already juiced out all from that 150cc, and spending ~30k on exhaust of a 1.25L₹ ,economically, isn't worth it.
I'd say if you're bored with power, sell that r15 in lively condition, ads that 30k + little more cash and get a duke390/ninja300.
