Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
The number plate socket is also the same as the front pilot lamp socket. Just get the led which you got for pilot lamp and connect it to the number plate lamp :thumbup:Originally posted by Suresh@yammie View PostIs that same size as pilot lamp(pin size)
I want to install it for both front and tail

Is the power draw same for low beam and high beam?
Does your setup have pass function? As I have heard that passing reduces life(or go kaput) of hid and does not give good output until the diode heats up to working temperature.
Let me answer this.
I have been using Bi-Xenon projectors from a year almost and I have not faced issues.
Important thing which matters is:
1) Quality of Bi xenon
2)Type of relays used and connection between them.
3) All connections and usage of battery.
I used it maximum continuously 10 days for around 8 hours in a row. For the first 6 hours it used to work properly and I didnt used to have any problem using it on stock battery which is 3.8amp battery. Later on at unequal intervals hazard light(yellow indicator on hud) started coming up and then I used to ride efficiently for sometime at dim lights. in couple of seconds it used to go off and again I used to switch on the low beam lights.
There is a disadvantage of using projectors that its efficiency decreases by time and after considerable amount of usage you wont get the same quality of high beam as it was earlier.
Moreover projector quality depends on which class projectors they are i.e. H1, H3, H7, H9, H11 class.
PS: I used projectors almost for a year on my stock battery, and now I have replaced it to Exide 5amp battery.Last edited by saquib3005; 01-24-2014, 04:09 PM.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Guys had a fall day before yesterday at around 60kmph and i luckily escaped with not even a scratch. But my beast faced a lot of scratches in her left fairing with no other damages.
But since yesterday evening i feel a drop in the performance that it reverts back in 4000 rpm while in 2nd gear as it does in 9000rpm. I thought it may be due to airfilter clogged with dust and cleaned my airfilter. But still the problem persists. My mechanic advices me to service the fuel motor.
Throw some light in here please seniors!!
