Sexy dude... Use high quality marker which will restore the paint surface, And get a tank guard/protector(Like the one that we have in our 50th anniversary LE) Enjoy the racing spirit:thumbup:

Please quote that whom you are responding to bro.....
yes! to some extend it could vanish the scratches but it won't be enough to remove it permenantly unless you use markers. All i can say if not too many scratches, jut stick to conventional coating rather than offerding expensive markers.
And the bike takes the pathholes and bumps nicely as the shocks linked with the aluminum swing arm and the front suspension is not lagging behind either.. My road(for1km) is very poor and full of pathholes. But i use to maintain the speed b/w 20-25kms although my wrists pain like anything

Please spend some time to read out all the posts which were posted by our fellow members, Most of your questions were covered . All these posts are very inevitable to know what the machine is all about and what we should be doing to get the best out of it:thumbup::thumbup:

Keep your elbows slightly bent and hold tightly the tank with your legs. It helps in easing out the pressure on the wrists.

Ride safe and have fun.

Congrats on your new bike! Yeah like nadz11.ns said, the riding profile is different for this bike. Since the handlebars are low, you need to lean into the bike , grab the bike at the tank with your thighs and hold the handle bars loosely with you arms bent at the elbow. And be careful with the brakes, since your road is full of gravel, you're only a jab on the brake away from a nasty crash.
Did you do 203Kms on your bike? or they gave you the bike with some kilometers already covered?

I am guessing people here have tried modifying their headlamp setup of the bike? Is that done on stock battery? Cause the stock headlamps aren't that bright and i was considering the osram nightbreaker, but, they are 65W each and the battery gives out only 42W. Has anyone tried replacing the stock battery with a battery having higher Ampere Hour rating? My electrical background isn't very strong. Also if i do replace the stock battery, will it affect warranty?

anyone knows if one can somehow get two-eyed look (that usually comes from installing projector headlamps) without actually installing projector lights ? it drains the battery and all that as i have learnt from posts here so i dont intend to install projector lights but it'd be lovely to get that 2-eyed foxy look...(i guess i could nevertheless install projector lamps despite the chance of battery draining, because i rarely ride in the dark so hardly all that much use of the lights to begin with so i guess projectors wont really get the chance to drain it)..

lots has been talked about installing projector headlamps in the R15s, but i dont remember (and couldn't find in the last few months' worth of pages) anyone if anyone asked this..

The fact remains that if you are going to use the HIDs for prolong time even a bigger capacity battery will drain out as the rate of charging capacity is lower than the rate of discharge.

Yes exactly( not sure whether illumunation ring or the demon/angel eye can be installed wothout HID) installing projector not going to eat the battery straight away unless one uses it like the normal halogen. I understand how does it(battery) react while using projector for longtime and now using it wisely, I have't face any problem since then.

For more details just see the post black asp . He actually installed 4 HIDs and hasn't face any problem:

yeah mate but my question was different, that is it somehow possible to get that 2-eyed look from the headlights without actually installing projector headlights...

i don't really want to install projector lights...although as i said previously, i wouldn't be worried about battery drainage (in case i do install projectors) because i hardly ride in the evening or night time to begin with, so hardly need the use of headlights anyway.:-)

Yes you can install 2-eyed ring without the projector. I spoke to a guy whom i bought the projector... He says it can be done

I bought it through ebay... I have the contact number of that guy who is from Mumbai, or you can buy and install in your place too, but before installing please check with them how could they install and how much is going to cost you.

I have a question.
Yesterday while I was riding I came across wet road. I was around 60km/h and when I applied brakes as usual front plus rear bike slipped somewhat..
Can you tell me right way to brake in wet surfaces?
the right way to brake is the way you dont fall simple as that. You will have to experiment. theory wont help in this. the other day while taking left at a signal, i was at 15kmph or something, didnt see the stones and mud on the road at the curve, it was at night. i skid n lost balance n regained the balance (counter-steering helped) but somehow due to the loss of balance i happened to give throttle(not too much, but just twist of wrist), skid for a good 2 to 3 meters. now i dont know if both counter-steering and throttle helped at same time, but i am sure that if i had not Counter steered it i would have kissed the road and the car behind would run over me. all this happened in 2 to 3 secs max. I sometimes try to check the traction of the bike in curves with mud and stones by either braking or giving throttle. to test the limits and also to know how the bike behaves and till what threshold i can control. you will need very good presence of mind and experience while riding to achieve that control over the bike. never accelerate more than your braking abilities at given point of time and never brake hard on wet surface.
'On the Road that never ends...'

Guys, How long does the stock coolant last??? Used to check it regularly for the first 1000kms and found the reservoir level to be at a little above "Max". Now the bike's odo is at 2000kms and the level has started to decrease gradually and it is now below the "Max" level.... the thing is that the manual says to change the coolant every 12000kms or 2 years! My bike is just 2 months old! Is this rate of decrease normal??? Anything to be worried about??

Even if it is bit below the max level, nothing to worry about as the coolant is getting used by the bike in order to keep it cool, and yes its level will decrease as it gets consumed. Nothing to worry about as coolant is meant to cool down the heat and its level decreases gradually. Also as I see you are from Chennai, so hopefully belonging to a much hotter region the bike is getting heated up soon and more and so coolant level is going down while in process of cooling and removing out heat.

On your next servicing you can tell your SVC guy to pour in and level up the coolant to max level.
