Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Switching over to a high capacity battery will help but will not cure the problem. The problem lies in the charging capacity of the bike. The charging capacity is inadequate for the power being consumed by the HIDs. The fact remains that if you are going to use the HIDs for prolong time even a bigger capacity battery will drain out as the rate of charging capacity is lower than the rate of discharge.Originally posted by Suresh@yammie View PostPhew.. Multiple sensor light was again flashing for battery trouble (using hid projector).... I haven't ride my bike since yesterday evening , and when I today evening rode it with H/L (swapping)on for almost 2hrs, then warning light started flashing until I turn off the projector , it happened especially when I come back home (rpm is below 2k in my street), its the second warning since last week...like you mentioned in your above post switching to 5amp battery is safer and reliable? Please help me dude

Let aditya_YZF-R15 decide whether it is water vapor or smokeOriginally posted by black asp View PostIf it happens during cold starts in the morning only and devoid of a burning oil smell then its water vapour if its also there even after the engine has warmed up then its a sign of rings gone bust and oil getting sucked up into the chamber and being burnt

Have you done long highways runs at night. How did it the battery perform?Originally posted by black asp View PostYa I run 4 projectors 2 on hi and 2 on low beam with a 5 amp batt no issues till now just need to rip the foam off the battery base and modify the terminal clamps a bit nothing else

Is the power draw same for low beam and high beam?
Does your setup have pass function? As I have heard that passing reduces life(or go kaput) of hid and does not give good output until the diode heats up to working temperature.
