    Cheers
And moreover it (r15) has the sports handlebar, and its very expensive:what: Its not only the handlebar which makes you to lean forward, the entire (right from the front tyre to r6 inspired tail) dimension of the bike is true sporty:sly:Hence even if you did manage to get those pair of high handlebar, won't really help you to get relax riding :banghead:unless you opt for a cruiser bike like he mentioned above

Might be the Idle RPM screw setting is posing the issue...or the valve setting which might be too tight...I will go and check the Yamaha Factory Workshop, Pune to get this sorted out.. Needed insights from you all so that I can be sure that I am on the right track to analyse the issue Your insight really helped me a lot

As per the Yamaha ASC guys we should only use semi synthetic oils, which is 15W40. 300V is also of the same grade and it belongs to a different category altogether (I mean there is no comparision at all, it is the best of all FS oil). So I would not see it posing any problem. But it would be great if you can follow the grade mentioned in the Owner's manual i.e. 20W40/50. Long journeys can be done on semi synthetic only (I did return journey of Pune to Bangalore and both the times I covered the whole distance of 870 kms within 12 hrs without any problem of the engine is getting heated up. I rode for around a stretch of 250 kms within 2.5/3 hrs anfd then taking a break of 20-30 mins to one hour. And the engine running on semi never posed any issue of heating or otherwise). Yamaha has created a masterpiece in R15 and you should not have any problem running long distances as long as you are sticking to the manual and following it.

Don't worry. Just tell the ASC guys to top it up with good coolants, particularly from Motul And the manual is correct to say this, but I would suggest to replace it fully after 10K kms. (Mine got changed after 6k kms only as the stupid transportation guys dropped my bike and almost all of the coolant got leaked out). But till then I have only topped it up and not replaced it fully for the next 14k kms almost.

Thanks a lot for the info, Bro! Hope you get your bike back in a perfect condition ASAP! Cheers!!!

I have two white L.E.D's installed in the front which i use during normal driving whether night or day. So as usual, came back home from college which takes me nearly 30 minutes and parked the bike. I realized that the number plate light is also the same as those on the front and just wanted to take a clear look at it(still using the stock light, wanted to change it to LED's) and so i bent down to look at it and when i touched the casing(the plastic that covers the number plate light) on the top, it was FREAKING hot that i almost literally burnt my fingers!!! Trust me guys... I tried touching it again and it seems impossible to touch it for more than two seconds!!! But all the lights, indicators etc etc work fine and there was no burning smell or visible clue!! Is this just normal and the same in your rides too or is something spooky here in mine? Eagerly waiting for your responses!!!

Nothing to worry about, its normal .
Why not change that also to an led.

Try touch the front disc rotor after some hard riding, it will definitely burn your fingers

Phew, Good to hear that Well, In my case... It's the rear disc rotor that gets heated up... the front gets warm though Anyways thanks for the clarification and yes, Changing that to an LED pretty soon!

When you say that, I hope you don't mean you prefer using the rear brake more than the front. Use the front brake as much as possible. Rear brakes don't help in slowing the bike down. It's just an assist to the front brake.

Not at all...! I always use the front brakes about 80%! The thing is that I just went for a 5 km ride without using the rear brake even a little bit but it was flaming hot while the front brake which was used quite a lot was just warm!

it's not so cold here standing temperature wise, but riding even at 40-50 kmph for a few minutes yesterday gave me the chills...went for a short ride yesterday thinking it felt not so cold in general and the sun was up after many days, ended up feeling hardly any fun at all on the corners or anything...at high speeds cold nulls any kind of feeling, plus reduces physical/muscle relaxation (body wants to be as contracted and contained as possible, thus resists to being loose and relaxed which is something essential in general and more importantly while cornering for instance)..when you are chilling inside due to the windchill, body is all tight and tending to contract, even shivering a bit at times and the mind dreading having come out, even the best of corners dont give any feeling and fun...

that's why not so excited about going out to the city for searching stuff just right now..will do that after some time...
                You are doing it wrong.
what i do in this kind of situation is simple, don't ride slow........
ride hard, very very hard, the idea is to get your blood circulation higher. really work hard on bike, lean more, more body movement on bike, ride fast, as fast as possible, this will make your head focus more and adds to increase the blood flow all over.
                also breathe more (heavily)
this tips may sound weird, but trust me it works, (i don't have a problem if it is winter or rain, i am evaready for a ride even w/o a glow or jacket )

10.5k?? Are you serious? My god. I am done ~9.3k on odo and have me 4rd brake pads on.
I think you can do some more kilometers. Bleed your brake once.
At the time of replacement replace oil with dot4 and it will be better.

Take care while riding when it's cold. Roads are cold and the grip isn't as much as you would get on a hot summer day. Too much lean and you may end up in the hedges.

Ya... I squeeze my front brake harder than rear, but rear worn out at 8k and front still going and already replaced with dot 4 at around 7k km on odo.

Try pumping slowly which makes you feel better. I do it always. I also have got steel braided front brake hose. I feel much better now.
I don't know if the better feeling is derived out of new pads I got while I got steel hose installed.

what i do in this kind of situation is simple, don't ride slow........
ride hard, very very hard, the idea is to get your blood circulation higher. really work hard on bike, lean more, more body movement on bike, ride fast, as fast as possible, this will make your head focus more and adds to increase the blood flow all over.
                                also breathe more (heavily)
this tips may sound weird, but trust me it works, (i don't have a problem if it is winter or rain, i am evaready for a ride even w/o a glow or jacket )
                                sounds kinda :P

nah man i am too lazy to go out a lot in the winter times anyway:P...cold will still be felt inside even if i keep on moving a lot to increase blood circulation (and yes you are right, that does happen, as i said earlier that long rides eventually decrease the feeling of cold, but then still, it nevertheless feels cold enough to distract the mind)...i dont know how much cold you have experienced in bangalore which is surely much less than this part of india (:P), but it's really cold around here most days to make me want to go out for a casual ride...half the days are fairly foggy in the daytime too..unless i am too damn desperate to ride, or it's some urgent errand i have to run or something, i'd rather be not that uncomfortable while trying to ride so fast (and if it's foggy fairly long distance vision is compromised too for high speed runs)...in like 2 or so weeks from now situations here will start becoming fairly nice for riding and then i am all for ripping it and making up for not frequently ripping in this last 1.5 months...
