Oh i thought that it was your normal way of driving Well, Even i tried going for the max... The bike reached 130 with ease and was gradually increasing but once i saw the Tacho cross the 9k mark, i started to slow it down.. I surely knew the bike had more steam left but i never ever want to take it anywhere near the redline Now at 1800+ kms and i've tried it just twice! Now just enjoying every bit of my ride gently and peacefully! Cheers!

Checked the forks for any signs of damage and tried riding my leaving both hands off.. Goes straight. No accidents or falls. What could be the reason?? Uneven tyre wear at front ?? Or something wrong at rear?? Its more at slow speeds and only on left side.. Please help

This could be a low speed shimmy cause of steering wheel assembly (if I'm not wrong) or the below ones

      1. Decentralised riding posture makes the front tyre buttons to be uneven.
      2. Over tightened final transmission which trends to pull the bike either side.
      3. check for wheel bend... Rotate anti clockwise .

I have experienced few of those... And got some informations from other users too. The problem should be in steering fork assembly (the whole set up), wheel or the chain tightness. Please make sure that primary and secondary check ups been done in SVC (5 kinds of fork assembly check ups they will do).. Explain them each and every problem you face. Other members please correct me if am wrong or please add if some other way this could happen:what:

That's really cool those are few times when we need to show others what R(1)'s DNA stands for even if one does open the the throttle like I did , it won't tire up(don't do though if you really love the machine) this goes to show the true sport bike spirit. I have done 13856 km. on my odo till date. Its getting better, smoother and once open the throttle in excess of 4k rpm its produces perfect power band sound:what::what::what::screwy:

          Totally agree with that.
The motor perform best when it kept boiling with rpm meter above 5k rpm. Shifts at 7-8 is butter smooth and brings a big grin on the riders face.
Infact there are instances where I ride mostly using 5th gear to get max power at WOT on single lane highways.
On four lane highway, I mostly use the 6th cog which can be used to ride from 70 all the way to 145kmph under the right conditions.

PS- power drop is quite drastic after 8.5k rpm and its pretty pointless to rev beyond that, all it does is stress the motor.
People who are trying topspeed run, I urge u not to aimlessly redline the bike, rather shift @8k rpm, redline only 5th gear, then shift to sixth.

Rightly said.... I have been made to redline the bike twice like anything, its just happened..... since then I kept everything within the limitations. Even my younger bro (r15) had scold me very badly for redlining him.

Is there any option to low the rear seat height of R15 v2 as v1.

Yes you can approach in SVC but it will spoil the trademark look of the bike, One of my personal technician in yamaha SVC asked me for lowering the tail section, I refused it

Is it so? I believe there can be no adjustments done without the shocks. *confused* :what:

Not the shocs adjustment. But the tail to be down.
Is your yamaha asc was going to down the height by tail modifications

smoke coming out of the exhaust, which i assume by common sense is normal in winter times (presumably just steam) ? just ensuring, because i only noticed it yesterday..so either it was happening all the winter and i just didnt notice it before yesterday, or something has gone weird since yesterday (which would be surprising since i am hardly riding any more than 1-2 kms per day (just inside campus traversing) in this winter).

Smoke out of the exhaust is not normal, no even in winter.
If it is Steam , then it's fine

Its normal in winter bro if the temp difference is a bit high between max and min temperatures

I didn't ask my technician like how to lower the tail section when he approached me for that. I'm wondering whether they offer this kind of services officially anyways Let me just ask him whether if this could be possible without making any adjustment in shocks. At the meantime just check with other members and also in SVC.
