It's not the company fault bro, even small defects happen in big superbikes also that does not mean their quality is below standard or anything else, my R15 is two years old and haven't faced a single issue neither this type of paint wear and tear.
Take it to ASC they can tell you what can be done and i think it can be ignored because in India its very hard to keep your bike /car scratchless

lol, questioning or downgrading a company's (yamaha or whoever else's) quality standards based on random scratches/paint-coming-off which most likely (and obviously) were a result of contact with something by someone (key chain, finger ring, someone just fiddling around with it while it was parked, all kinds of shit) most probably by mistake...

Just did a 40 odd km city ride on the bike. Few pointers that hurt.
        1. Excruciating lower back and left wrist pain after the ride.
        2. Very poor low end torque. The engine cries and lugs trying to go up a uphill road in 1st gear at low rpm. There was a pillion with me weighing around 60 kgs.

Considering I am below 5k rpm now, will point 2 improve later? Given up for point 1.
Feels quite sad actually to see the performance of the bike going uphill. Makes me think I shld hve got some more money/waited for a frw more salaries and got a Duke 390.

^^ yes it will improve once you explore accelerations at RPMs post 6500...dont expect so much from a bike that's just in its run-in period :-)

^^ performance racing store (mumbai) have listed several stickers etc in their website...but it's not cheap, and i suppose it doesnt make sense to anybody to spend that much money on mere stickers..moreover, they seem to usually supply a full set of specific decals designed with keeping some particular bike in mind..i believe earlier they also used to list separate sticker sets with more variety but it seems they dont do that anymore.

i have a few stickers on my bike done recently and it's just from a local bike sticker making shop that i found in allahabad city in an area filled with shops (and mechanics) doing various kind of motorcycle works...i happened to see a couple or so tiny sticker and number-plate making shops in there, took my pendrive to one of them and that was it...they print it, cut it, stick it and one sticker just costs rs. 30-40..i am sure in hyderabad there are far more such shops, just have to go to some place that is filled with bike related shops.

Sounds like an excellent plan. What stickers do you have on your bike?
M planning for a 46 on the visor or the sides and a monster sticker on the sides..

                    looks good dude.

                    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

500 Kms up on the odo. What next?
Take her to 7500 RPM is what I know. Anything else.

Wanted to talk about the benefits of an oil and oil filter change at 200 odd kms.

                    1. The oil that came out was dark brown to black in colour. Surely needed to be changed.
                    2. The volume of oil was a good 200 ml less than what the bike needs.
                    3. Engine feels a lot smoother after the oil change.

Points 1 and 2 surely warrants for an oil change IMO. If not complete change, than a top up for sure. Point 3 might be psychological only.

                    Cheers!

Dude get some important stickers first. Like your name and blood group, some clear one on tank side to protect it from scratch, etc

Few of the members have suggested the clear stickers for the tank. Where and how to get them? What exactly is the material?

What are the contents of the R15 toolkit?
My bike has the tool kit missing and the dealer is assembling a few tools from here and there and giving it to me.

                              Remedy for Point 1:

You'll get used to it after riding the bike for 2 weeks. Trust me, if you get the riding position correct you'll love it. I've done Pune-B'lore round trip twice and my experience was good.

                              For point 2:

R15V2 has an improved/remapped ECU just to nullify the low-end torque problem. My bike pulls nice from 2k RPM and it's not an issue to ride in the traffic unlike the V1. Though R15's true colour comes out after 6K RPM. What is your idle RPM set at?

Regarding D390, it's a super VFM bike but I felt the build quality is not that good, though it's my personal opinion only and don't wanna get into a debate. Two of our Pune chapter members, both are superb riders with loads of experience and the ones to have D390s, sold off their bikes. One bought a N300 and the other person got pissed off with the issues. Issues as per them:

                              1. Body vibration.
                              2. Rim problems.
                              3. Engine sounds.

So if you really wanna invest money, my 2 cents would be to go with either N300 or invest some more and go for N650 or wait for R25.
