so sorry man, i'd literally cry out if anyone ever stole or badly damaged my R15...it's so weird someone stealing your one day old bike, yeah even i am thinking it could be one of the neighbours...

are bikes' (R15 or whatever other bikes) locks that easy to break btw ? how do they do it so easily and quickly that many times one hears reports of bikes stolen in broad daylight in non-isolated places ? it's time the manufacturers do something about it by installing some electronic something that makes a massive sharp noise anytime anyone tries to break the locks or inserts a duplicated key (original keys to be engraved with some identity barcode or some shit, or better, an uncopiable programmed sensor of some kind that has the original identity in some way) or something...with all these electronics these days, i'd think they should have already electronified the lock system in such as way that breaking the lock system or even duplicating the keys would be too damn hard and bothering for anyone other than the owner (who would know the secure codes etc to duplicate the keys should he ever need to) himself.

Locks can only deter casual attempts at theft.
Bikes are easy to steal, all it takes is two men to lift it and put it into a van.
Many stolen bikes are probably broken down into parts to be sold separately (its more profitable that way).

Some sort of GPS tracking device installed on a bike might be a good idea. Also, motion detectors with remote alerts (on mobile).
But then this kind of setup will probably cost a good fraction of the price of a new R15. :-P

Sad. sorry to hear that. faced this situation last year. your tough times have begun. you either bride the police to keep a hunt for the bike or you keep eating their head so that you get the insurance money. BTW are your insurance papers with you? and i even have a doubt over your dealer. sometimes the workers in the showroom also do it. since they will have all details about you. try to get influence of higher authorities or else its gonna a be bad experience. Buy a xena lock next time.

ya all bikes its easy to break the lock. not the high-end bikes though. it takes 2 mins thats all to break them . one guy is enough.

Hey guys wanted to enquire about the body panel costs of r15 v2.

Wat would be the price of headlight fairing?

            And one more thing
When I apply the front brakes at slow speeds I feel like it grabs badly and den leaves

And when I leave the handle at the speed 90 the handle shakes and apart from that when I press front brakes the handle pulls towards left

Time to bleed your brake dude. And you had any crash or fall??? If yes, check your forks for bend. Its mostly bent as it pulls towards left. And you need the price of headlight assy ( the glass lens ) or the faring surrounding it??

Headlight assy is 2.5k approx and the faring surrounding it is 400-500( dunno exactly )
Its better to sweat than bleed!! "AGATT "

Ok thanks for the info and I haven't had a fall yet and one more problem is that whenever I leave the handle at 90km/hr speed it shakes very badly but den as soon the speed comes below 60 the shaking is stopped and it oly pulls when I apply the brake y so?

I guess the cone set is bad or needs tightening.. I mean to say the nut which is visible from top view of the steering or whatever and also check if those thin round plate like this are in right position or not because my bike's handle was a bit tight nd mech brought them into ryt position(a cut in both the round thing is supposed to face the fuel tank after whose setting the top nut in chrome finishing will be tightened). I was told this happens because of both hard braking and potholes.

Once the 'F' would start I'd get around 45-50, i'd ride even after 'F' stopped for like 7-10kms but recently was warned not to let the fuel level so low as it would harm the injector pump which would cost around 5k and the whole fuel injection system around 15k and they would know which exactly get harmed so better fuel it soon after it displays 'F'

Really??? I have done 120km once since I had no option. And I heard it can do 180km ( I get 45kmpl btw ). But its not recommended since you are overloading the fuel pump. I did only once. Else will fill within 5 km after it displays F-

                              Hello everyone,
My bike's front indicator has broken off and now hanging and it is a sorry sight to see. I own a yamaha r15 v2 and I have been looking around for a flush mounted indicator
viz. Smoke Flush Mount LED Turn Signal for Yamaha FZ1S Fazer 1000 2001 2005 | eBay

Can anyone telling me where I can find this in Bangalore? I live in Bellandur so somewhere close by would be great.

Out of context but I wanted to know few things.
                              1) I got a used r15v2, which had been run for about 8k kms and i had gotten the whole tank repainted and during rains I noticed that the under the fuel cap water used to accumulate and I believe the hole to the left under the cap is for that water to drain, but it never did. Is this normal?
                              2) Can anyone suggested me a good mechanic around the area where I live? my services are turning out expensive and I want to get that water under the fuel cap checked as my newly painted tank has caught rust. so need to remove it and paint it again.

                              TIA

Bike not found yet. Police told, they would give non-traceable papers in a week. Didn't even receive the RC book, but insurance is there. Any idea on how much percentage, they would pay?
