      • Hey Guyzz, lets have a proper intro

Rode a Caliber 115 from 2003 to 2009, then got a job and got may favorite bike at that time (a yellow RTR 160). Rode it for some 2 years, got promotion and started using car for office going, meanwhile that bike was left for rusting. One cousin wanted that badly so gave that bike to him. After giving away that RTR, life got real boring and stressful, I think I was really missing riding. After a gap of some months saw new RTR 180, although I never liked this new RTR styling still went for it without much thinking. Yes, this was like a unloved child for me and rode it real hard from start. The best thing this bike did for me was to let me join xbhp offline drama and I made some real good friends there. Tried for R15 v2.0 before RTR 180 but because of some drama at dealership scraped the plans but atlast I am back to the same thing. Its really what I like, yes its little down on power but other things compensate this disadvantage. Rightnow its just 53 kms on ODO, so not having much to say. Will be posting useful things from now, I thought its always good to have an introduction at new places.

                • Hello all,

Last weekend was the most hectic ever, got the wheels painted to white. Pics attached.

                  1) It costed Rs 400 each wheel, so Rs 800 total. Got it from a garage near office, Baner.
                  2) The mod looks okay from far but as you approach near there are some touch ups performed which took place while fixing the tire.
                  3) Ever if you opt for such mods ensure -
                  A) The painter has paddock or main stand to support your bike.
                  B) The painter offers touch up paint after fixing the tire.
                  C) Local mech sucks at removing and fixing the tire back, esp the rear tire with the disc caliper unit. I had to call Variyan Yamaha guys to fix it. Costed me Rs200.
                  D) Make sure your rim is not bent, figured out the front one is slightly bent.
                  E) Ample time for drying and the garage is not surrounded by dusty environment.
                  4) This was my first mod on the bike, lots to learn. Anyways I was going for rim changed by claiming insurance in sometime, so wanted to try this in low cost.
                  5) For those painters who offer the same job for costing Rs 3000 and Rs 4000, I do not know how differently they do this because the procedure involved
                  - Washing the wheels.
                  - Sand paper rubbing
                  - Paint application
                  - Some coating stuff for shine - Primer or lacquer, dont remember exactly.
                  6) I had to shell out additional Rs 600 for front disc pads because the local mech (Refer point 3, Sub Pt C) fixed the rear nut in the front axle causing in jamming the front wheel, the pads were wrongly arranged.

The helmet and bike color theme looks good.

Here's the procedure my painter does and tends to work very well, no idea what I paid, as I had repainted the whole bike and supplied the paint and some clear myself, he also repaints a few superbikes.

                      1) Deflate the tyres and take to tyre shop for pressing, to remove as much air as possible.
                      2) remove disc brakes and sprocket
                      3) Sand down the wheel
                      4) Cover tyre with cling film and use masking tape to hold it down, also mask the hub
                      5) Shoot some high build primer, inspect for any imperfections and fill if required.
                      6) Spray your paint usually 3 coats depending on colour ( I had 10 coats, 2 primer, 2 undercoat and 6 top coat+clear)
                      7) Spray the clear coat 2-3 coats, then it's done, forget wet sanding and buffing the clear on a bike rim, though it's possible it's not really worth it.
                      8) Allow to dry and carefully remove the masking
                      9) Inflate and refit.

As I was changing the tyres at the same time, i took the opportunity to wet sand the inside of my front rim, as it was leaking from the sides, this solves the problem as it's just a build up of shite that causes the issue.

More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Mine is a version 1.5, with a true pearl finish (Lamborghini Arancio Atlas California) If I repaint I would use Fords Electric Orange, similar colours but the Lambo one is on a white base and Ford's is on an Orange base which means less paint and better coverage, I love the V2 swing arm, it's the same as the R125, definitely feels more stable. Getting some cotton reels made up so I can use a paddock stand.

That coating is called Clear in general mechanic language and that also comes with different grade or quality. That was used as Teflon and its price is rs150 to rs250 per liter.
That becomes yellowish on paint of vehicles after some time as that is a polymer coat which shines.
Actual Teflon needs high temperature for coating which is long lasting.
