I wasn't that xbhpian, but the mantra works.

Your brake system isn't really sealed. Air can go in and out of the master cylinder. The goal is to not allow any air to get into the line itself, but sometimes it does. Keeping pressure on the system over a period of time tends to make air bubbles work their way up out of the line and into the airspace above the fluid where they belong.

I cant access it. And btw there is a notable difference in braking after zip tying my brake lever overnight. I wont say its that great, but worked really. But I think bleeding will be the most effective method

what are you trying to do ? Are your brakes that bad ? have you ridden another r15 to compare if your brakes are not good ?
don't simply keep fiddling with the mechanicals just for the sake of it.. if you run out of zip ties then you can use your 'nada' from your pyjama

If you really feel your brakes are bad, get them checked thoroughly and an overhaul if necessary to fix them for good.

My front brake is spongy from the very beginning. Almost everyone who drove coplained about this. Svc people say its alright though,so got to fix on my own. It needs bleeding but want to try this trick before that. Chill bro am not fiddling with anything All probs are caused by svc. Instaling tyres in wrong direction, poor headlight adjustment after changing headlight assembly, all these noob things done by them :banghead: Fixing one by one

my view on this: all bikes are not same on all levels even if its 2 same bikes. i have personally experienced this. ridden 4 r15 v2 back to back. all felt different on braking and clutch play, acceleration, and few other things. but never got a huge difference which made the handling of the bike a mess. coming to the brakes, trust me on this, its got the best (again experience). all you have to figure out is hoe to use it effectively. very lose brakes or very powerful brakes also cause problems. all you have to figure out is how to use them when. every opinion is different. so the more you take the more you get confused.

                              • Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0

I am currently owner of R15 v2 sunset red.I weigh 58kgs. I tried many times but the bike does not go above 129(without crouching), i have done 6500 km aprox since purchase and usually bike does 126(non-crouch) max on windy days.
We have owned Pulsar 150 since the first model in oct 2002. I clocked max of around 130 on it too amazingly. but 115-120 was easy enough on same roads.
But what i dont get is my pulsar 150 used to keep up with todays 180(my college student do tend to race daily in order to reach in time)and even beat the UG2 on top speed.
On R15 100 km/hr mark feels more different and faster than Pulsar. Now when i race with pulsar 180, none can even touch it even if i am doing around 119 approx.
On one side i am doung 115 to keep with the tail of pulsar 180 and 119 on R15 makes them starting to dissappear from my mirror.

I think the error on R15 speedo is less. I also compared with a suzuki access it was showing 97km/hr MAX on my meter side by side it was 92km/hr.

How much should R15 reach without crouching as i have seen videos of people doing 135 without becoming aerodynamic and I only manage 129 even with utilizing RPMs.

Following were my max speeds on certain gears hitting rev limiter:

                                3rd gear - 92
                                4th gear - 110
                                5th gear - 131
