Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Bro I never did it intentionally. And I know about fule pump start while switching the ignition on, which takes only first 2-3 seconds while.complete selfcheck takes about 5-6 secs. What about after fuelpump initiation time. Being an engineer myself I am very cautious about technical details but this thought just hit my mind today. I need something concrete but dont wanna Google so early :-)Originally posted by siddharthsure View Post

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
I may not be accurate but I assume that selfcheck time and fuel pump start-end time don't have to be same. Fuel pump just pumps the petrol to the injectors; however, selfcheck ensures that all electricals are working fine (during this time the fuel injection indicator light stays on). The thumb starter should be pressed when this light turns off. If the light stays on them it may indicate that something is wrong with some electrical.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
My left pilot lamp works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt work. Removed and chckd, fuse intact but not glowing. When I shake the bulb. (still connected and ON) it just sparks and glows sometimes. Is the bulb gone or problem with wiring??

Feels like a problem with holder or wiring. Get these checked.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostMy left pilot lamp works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt work. What is the purpose of oil filter if we fear metal particles all the time before first service.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
I don't know how were you able to ride with opposite tread pattern. If I recall a 2007 incident, one fool puncture wala installed my rear tire in wrong direction and bike was wobbling like hell. I got that fixed same day.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostPhew atlast my tyre installed in right direction.. One thing there is a whole lot difference in the way it handles now after installing in right direction.. Peace atlast

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
^^ ya I rode it just a day and I found something wierd about handling. Later I found tyre reversed.
And btw how will tying the brake lever overnight help remove air bubbles?? Where will it go ?? There is no place to escape unless I open the bleeder nut

Who gave you this magic mantra. Maybe it can let the bubble cry in pain and it will die awayOriginally posted by siddharthsure View Post

but for normal repair bleeding is the only solution.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
And guys heres my ride fully recovered from the accident. This is after a bath and a layer of wax
And did anyone note? My tire's reversed thread pattern ( my front Tire was installed in reverse when i took this pic ) is the correct Thread pattern or correct way of installation for the NS.... Strange!!!!!
Any idea why???
Its a bad quality pic,i know but you can spot it clearly

it is not 'magic' or 'mantra'.. the air bubble rises up and in to the brake fluid reservoir ! by this method of tying up the brake lever it takes a loong time to get rid of the air trapped in the brake hose.Originally posted by rocker View PostWho gave you this magic mantra.
