After some 2-3 months of research I have finally narrowed down my options to Pulsar180 & R15 V2. Well to be honest I am more inclined towards taking R15. Although I have some queries:
1> What is tappet noise? I have seen many R15 V2 owners talking about it. Can anyone please throw some light on this matter?
2> I live in Bangalore… so which showroom would be the best to take the bike from??( Please do share your experience as it will help me in choosing a showroom to purchase from)
3> Where to get good quality helmet and gloves(at reasonable rates) in Bangalore.
      1. thats not an issue. as eshan explained.
      2. where do you stay? you can pick up the bike at any showroom. only servicing you will have to go for good ones.

for protection increase the glove budget above 2k. there are shops like Megha enterprises, Helmet paradise (both on lalbhag ) you can get helmets also there. ls2 would be around 2.5k good helmets they are. if you want simple gloves then you will get as cheap as 300rs too.

I stay in koramangala. The thing is that I want Invincible black color but that's not available at orion motors.... I guess Bangalore Wheels and just one more showroom is having that color. In bajaj, one very common thing that happens is that the showroom guys will hand over a test ride vehicle to you..(not always though).... I am not sure that the same happens in case of Yamaha or not.... but just wanna make sure that I get a brand new bike...without any nonsense...

which parts you want? around 85-90% are the same as v1 or superseded, have a few from the v2 with me.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

                    • In Chennai we have lot of traffic in the road. How is it to drive in traffic? I read a lot seems like it's mixed opinion. I would like some feedback from users, is it difficult to drive in traffic? I'm arranged with cash to buy it and I love all the features what this bike offers. But this is my only concern and the part of wrist hurts after some time. I would really appreciate some answers.

                      • Buddy in which metropolitan city you will not find traffic.....its every where in India in all major cities. Its not at all difficult to ride this bike, until an unless one is not creating problem with others. All what matters is the attitude with which you ride and not the bike.
If you dont have a proper grip offcourse it is gonna hurt you. Proper handling and sitting position matters while riding the bike. Many people just hold the handle bar of R15v2.0 bike by putting half the body weight on their wrist and palms which is wrong. There should be least pressure on your hand muscles and alignment of body should be as such your back dont get to much stress and body weight is evenly distributed on your hips.

tricky to answer this. will tel you my experience. as saquib gave his views.

Yes i feel little pain in my left wrist few times while riding. this happens lot in traffic situations and less in touring. but thats due to my riding style which is little aggressive, so i will be using clutch and brakes a lot. apart form that i wanna say is that "do not ride this like a usual commuter bike". because this is not meant to be ridden like that. i tried to sit straight keeping both arms straight which made me put more pressure on my arms. that became very uncomfortable for me. then i tried (which i call Racing position :P ) to bend little, get little closer to the tank (mind you i was not touching the tank and neither you should) and bend arms and face the elbow little outwards. this was comfortable and gave the character needed to ride the bike properly. this is little aggressive position but i found it to be the best where i could distribute the weights properly o my feet , palms, arms and butt. and the least as on butt.
This gets totally different when you have a pillion. the pillion needs to be instructed properly on what bike he/she is gonna sit, i do this everytime a new pillion sits behind. and the pillion should sit little closer to the rider and not too much back of the seat, and bend forward the way the rider is bending and should never sit straight. for support the pillion can hold on to the tail of the bike or grab the tank by bending more (tried this, this gives lot of confidence to ride faster since the load on you will be decreased).

if you have any history of backaches or wrist pains then do not go for r15 v2. buy which is good for you to ride and not just for the eyes

Thanks for your views. It's appreciated. I used to get shoulder pain sometimes due to long hours in front of the PC. Normal conditions it's around 12 Kms up and down daily. Only on weekends I get to drive more. I'm not a tall guy about 5"5 so I guess it doesn't affect me that much than a taller guy. It's either R15 or CBR 150 R. But since I owned RX for sometime I feel in love with Yamaha

I am going to book my baby R sometime in this week. Today I met a friend of mine who owns this fabulous machine but the height of the pillion seat seemed to be considerably lower than the normal V2. When I asked him about this, he told me that his roommate who is his regular pillion is around 95 kgs might be the reason for this reduced height. This came as a shock to me …Moreover; I was not very convinced with this explanation…. Could anyone throw some light on this???? Has anyone else experienced the same??
Lol. What a funny explanation. He is having a different suspension setting or he has changed from stock tire to some other option , hence the altered ride height. Or there is something really wrong with his bike.

                                Cheers
