(will drive at 70 - 80 kmph, more than that not possible in that road ) I mean with proper maintenance and regular service??

Tor chain slack search the d.i.y threads. Most probably you'll find a dedicated thread there.

i read somewhere that wd40 can damange the o-rings in the chain in the long term. i think kerosene is ok but not wd40.

      • It can take that bashing even at 100kmph continuous ride. I commute daily 30kms with pillion at 100kmph... So not a problem at all

It depends only on the condition of road. If highway like Pune-Mumbai, you don't have to worry at all.
keep the tyre pressure as required and always keep your chain with optimum Lube on it. i really love riding with a wet chain which has a noice, ssssssssss.

As manpreet stays in my city, i am going to meet him very soon to check out the changes he made on his V2.

Llol. 50kms daily is hardly even a warmup ride for any bike in a good condition. And highway ride means it should be easy peasy....!!! Don't lose your sleep over this..hardly anything to worry about.

            Cheers

adjusting anything which can alter things in the bike should be done in SVC. personally if you know things which you need to know in emergency situations are good. do not decide the slackness by yourself. let the svc handle it. until and unless you munch more and more kms everyday i dont think so you need to worry about any thing.

nahi re. i used to to 22kms morning to office and 22kms back home in evening for few months. having 12kms of open roads highways and horrible traffic after that. there was no day where i went below 120kmph on the highway. so i dont think so its a thing you should worry about.

What's wrong in that mate ? I do respect your opinion , but Adjusting chain slackness is a pretty important thing, mostly what we see around in the SVC is that they over tighten the chain and cause premature wear to the drive-train and also ride quality is also affected, if one learns to get the slackness done properly , it's surely a better option. I'd choose doing that myself than running around to the SVC for minor jobs such as these.

                  Cheers

Ron... Wats the mileage you used to get when you drive like that??? My condition, it's a NH for 25 km but there will be traffic spots here and there and I'll get an open road for 17km approx where I do 75-80 as ppl tend to cross in front of speeding vehicles just like that.. In these conditions daily up and down I get 40 kmpl exactly everytime from the time I got my babe.. So I think if I drive like how you drive I wuld get arnd 35kmpl... Is it good??

Meaning that the shock absorber moves at a different rate than the swing arm based on the ratios of the linkages. This is very different from the directly mounted on the swing arm mono shocks where in the shock absorber moves at the same rate as the swing arm as it is directly connected to the swing arm. The raising rate linkage becomes stiffer as it progresses through its stroke, thus lessening the chance of bottoming out due to big hits or heavy pre load weight.

Another thing to note is that a raising rate linkage is more expensive to make vis-a-vis a direct shock setup (more parts involved).
And the machine doesnt stop surprising me ...I am getting to learn new things about this wonderful piece of engineering ..

Not much wait for me now...bike should be here soon

                            • its good that you know the technical and handling aspects of your bike. One should always know the necessary things about the bike. But you can go ahead and talk to SVC guy also properly. Until and unless you don't talk with him how come he will know what changes or what are your requirements and thus he will make changes/adjustments according to his understanding.
So you can always approach him, and i am sure he will understand your feelings and requirements and surely you will be happy learning more from these.

From where did you get this Tolerable weight value bro???? So does this mean that if I have a heavy weight pillion with me then the bike's height may decrease permanently??(Correct me if I am wrong).... Isn't this a drawback rather than a good thing????
