If you keep closing and opening the RVMs then they are likely to get loose.

When I use to keep my RVMs open then never faced this issue, but as soon as I started to close the RVMS to put the garage cover it started to get loose.
So Now I keep an additional ring spanner for this. Buyed it from the same local garage as second hand for some bucks.

When ever I feel it's too lose then I tight it by myself only.

      • Hi Guys,

I am facing this strange behavior whenever I am riding my bike. On the 3rd gear, it feels as if something is pulling my bike from moving ahead as if I have applied brakes and trying to accelerate (even though I have not) and vibrations too and engine is rough. I notice this only on the 3rd gear and once I move up the gear these effects are reduced but not removed completely.

Yes I have checked the brakes and there no sound coming from them or friction between the pads. Am I lugging the engine?? or is it something else?

        ODO- 120 kms.

Your bike is new, stop over analyzing your bike, something called as retardation force is keeping the pull. Very normal. Its not a issue!

Vibrations will be fixed in the SVC if you tell them precisely where they are coming from.

No you are not lugging the engine, read the manual for knowing the precise speeds you should be riding the vehicle.

            few more details are needed.
so you are in runnin-in. whats the rpm you maintain when it happens? i have faced it few times and i noticed that i was being little low on rpm on particular gear. which in other words is 'lack of power to the engine in that particular gear'. how many times did you face it and how much fuel did you have? (just curious to know)

My usual route to work has a lot of traffic and yes I am a bit low on rpm when I face this issue...around 2.5k-3k rpm I guess ( Not sure about this because couldn't check it at the time).. and I am facing this since yesterday from when I started taking it to work. I didn't face it in the morning while going to work but on the way back I faced this and today morning too..

I do idle the engine for 1 min before I start the ride. I had around 5-6 ltrs of petrol (3 bars on the speedo)...

@Eshan..Yes I do understand it is the run-in phase and hence I have ignored the vibrations and tough gear shifts that people here usually face during the run-in.
But this "loss of power" felt a little awkward and hence I had to post it here so as to be sure is that an issue or not.
I have to analyse things brother..its my baby after all

              Thanks for the info though!!

Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

It will go after you do chain lube and clean at first service...
just keep riding and follow run-in.

I just checked my tire pressure at petrol bunk..
it was front -45 and rear -12 i was surprised....why front is so much... dnt know the front pressure is 45 since delivery or from first service....
                            but got it corrected now.

Thats too large a variation dude...

And FYI...28/ 33 is cold tire pressure...so if you are filling air in the middle of ur ride, fill up atleast 3 psi more..

                              • Hi,
it just clicked on my mind, that when i took my V2 for 1st and 2nd service, they did not cleaned the air filter.
because everything was done in front of me as i was asked many times to go our from the servicing particular chambers of each mechanic.
                                what shall i do?
shall i do it myself. i hope that would be an easy process for me as i am very much mechanically experienced.

apart from the air gun, where shall i find the filter, can you plz tell me the complete procedure or if this topic was in discussion in past. plz send me the link.
                                Thanks in advance
