Firstly, use the Multi-Quote option instead of posting separate queries. This will not only be more readable but also you can consolidate all your queries in a single post.
For Helmets you can refer to this thread -> http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...0-helmets.html.....
Btw if your budget can go upto 2.7-3k then you can get LS2 phobia and all in that range..
For gloves, well try cramster ones... you can find the link some 7-8 pages back.Ron Syl shared that link with me.
Regarding the projectors and all.. I am not aware.. maybe someone else will share their experience with you on this.

You may consider LS2 and SOL around 3K. Sol is better compared to LS2 (purely my view) and if you going for HID kindly upgrade your battery also because you will feel the bike hesitate to start in single press of ignition button. But don't upgrade beyond 9Ams because it needs a higher revs to charge the battery. Regarding gloves I have a bitter experience with cramster TG3. Some threads started peeling off from gloves after using 3000 kms. And u can go for DSG gloves for that. You can find a elaborated review about the riding gears/ gloves in the xbhp thread .
You may consider running your lights stock if you don't use your bike often during night rides.

      Cheers

I guess either you have to put angel eyes or demon eyes. I don't think you can keep switching it. So buy any one.

AFA HID is concern go with projector and upgrade your battery for sure and ask for a small switch fitment which will initially allow only one projector to glow and later if ON'd then it will activate the second projector also.

              5amp battery should be enough.

As our batteries are smaller so in real sense it should be circuited like initially one later if needed both. This will not flooding the battery with more loads.

HID projector needs good amount of load to start, later normalises.

I would recommend you to get it done by some mech in your area or Yamaha SVC mech by few extra mech.(Before HID- projectors , Make sure your bike is out of warranty period else you will lose warranty etc)

The plastic cap you mean ? like the one missing from your left fork ?
It's nothing to be fixed, it is a cosmetic add-on and I think ride looks better without it.
Not sure whether SVC stores these or not, can check, should be cheap.

Today I was going through my bike papers…. That time I saw a very unusual thing -> I was charged 1,32,044(the on road price) for the silver black colour.
                            In that I have 3 receipts -> 1. Vat invoice : 112718
                            2. Insurance : 1998
                            3. Road Tax : 15015
                            Total : rs 1,29,731
What was I charged 2313 rs extra for….???????
that 2313Rs will include everything else which they had to do get your bike registered including tips for the guy who gets it done. same things happens everywhere. not just that they wil have to fill up few forms for which they have to pay and thats not recorded in the invoice

Did not happen in my case. I was given the exact breakup of the ex showroom price, insurance and tax and later I matched the amounts paid with the respective documents and there were no discrepancies. On top of this, I was charged ~800 bucks for affidavit since my address proof was just my rent agreement.

                              • ok guys sorry for back to back post. but this had to be different post.

well its been 1 year and 29 days of pure bliss, adventurous, orgasmic , adrenaline filld experience with my R15 V2 LE

Had done 5.5k kms on the previous bike (which was stolen) and right now i have done 6.2k kms (its 9k on the ODO, but the previous
owner had done 2.8k kms), so that makes it i am nearing just 12k kms on the bike all this while i had no bike for almost 4 months
when the bike was stolen. (please no questions about this stolen part).

Initial stages of owning the bike:

yes i was awe struck. had little idea about the things that were supposed to be done and that were supposed to happen. many doubts were
there.but at that moment all i wanted was to enjoy my ride. i had read things here in the thread which helped me to understand few things.
                                Thanks to all those guys

I recall the bike being smooth, smelling of something burning after riding for a while, stalling few times rarely, very very very concerned
as to where to park etc etc. i was never bothered about what sound was engine making, discs making or what sounds they were supposed to do .
i was very strict when it came to runnin-in. used to change gears around 4k - 5k rpm, managed to get an avg of 45kmpl during initial stages.
The bike has awesome feedback form the suspension. every uneven surface on the road is felt. but the monoshock suspension is superb and handles
                                all surfaces very well.

I always stuck to the service time period given in the manual irrespective of how many kms i had done. My 1st service being at 250 odd kms
changed oil and filter. after which my long distance commuting was started and i began to explore the bike more. I just told the SVC guys to put SS oil, they used the normal yamalube which is common in SVC. No fuss about it.

I faced cramps on palms and thighs in the first week of owning the bike after which i never got them.
The gear lever was positioned very high which gave loads of pain shifting gears and my ankle was taking the beating. thats when i read that it can be adjusted
and viola! adjusted it the way i wanted.

                                Later stages:
It was around 600kms when i started to open up the throttle more. tried speeds of 120kmph on way to office (on expressway). i had my first ever road trip with fellow xbhpians (that was YRC first ride) where i opened up fully (my ODO reading 950kms ) . did a top whack of 138kmph.
Bike was very good with performance and also with good FE around 40kmpl after runnin-in.

did many kms after that, 2nd service came up at 2.8k kms on odo. did the same procedure like before.

Since i had ridden the bike to its higher potential around 1k on odo, the bike had mix of better performance (tested in drags which were done to even test Racedynamics ecu) and also FE like i said before. I had done max speed of 153kmph (speedo reading )

by now i had done 5k + and my next service was due in august 2012. thats when my bike was stolen. I had no problems at all with the bike. after this i did few rides on others bike in yrc 4 rides actually. Big thanks to them Tj, rayhan and sachin

IThis was with the 1st bike. rest will be told later with new bike in picture
