Hi people, have a r15 v2 but feel that power is kinda lacking. Top speed I can go is around 125-130kmh.. Am I able to increase its power more?? What if I were to install k&N air filter? Does fast throttle works? Anything I can do to boast the power? Thanks guys

Go for Daytona kit from YAMAHA

no you cannot increase the power just by KnN filter.

you didnt mention how old is the bike and kms covered.
FYI the only way to increase the power significantly is upgrading to the daytona kit., which is illegal.

Only Dragex exhaust will make you illegal out of that kit as other things like ECU, Cam shaft can never be checked.

i said daytona kit. so it includes the exhaust. so i meant its illegal.

get a bigger bike!

the daytona kit is meant for racing/track use only.
now you might be thinking: yeah! that what i want, i wanna go racing on the street. well, the thing is racing or track riding has different requirements than street riding.

for street riding you want something thats reliable, meets noise regulations (you don't want to annoy other people on the road), low maintainance etc. on the race track the only thing that matters is lap time. unless you are an expert rider well versed with bike mechanics i would suggest keeping the bike stock.
BTW, the K&N thing is bullshit, its generally bought by people who don't have a clue.

Bike is few months old. Mileage is 12000km. What's the use of k&N filter then? Does improved the pickup? This Daytona kit how is it installed? And one more thing I like to ask u have to reach a certain rpm before changing gear? What's the best rpm to reach before changing gear? 7.5 okay?
